Supportive bikini tops for 34DDD

Hi Chicks,

This next summer I will wear my first bikini ever, since I was obese from childhood.

I have size 34DDD "deflated" breasts and have tried on a few tops and they all look terrible. I would love to know if any of you have found great supportive swimsuits for big chested women that have lost a lot of weight. Really I would like as much coverage as possible without going with a tankini.

Thanks :)

So far, this is the best I have found, but my boobs still want to pop out since they don't have 34DDD. I will have to return the 34DD top: http://www.landsend.com/products/wom...top/id_246915#

I go to a specialty swim shop and get fitted, much like bra shopping.
Do you have any local shops?

I've heard good things about Panache swimsuits, but I haven't tried them myself. They're bra-sized, and have some with underwires.

Good luck!

Anything from Bravissimo. They're designed for very busty women (not plus size).

Second the Panache recommendation. I have a black 2 tankini (was a 34DD when I bought it 2 years ago, currently I'm bigger and spilling out) and it was the first bathing suit I ever wore that was as capable of supporting "big girl boobs" as a bra.

I bought my last 2 bathing suits from the specialty bra shop I go to. The bikini tops are identical to full cup bras which are awesome for support. They don't have any stores in the US, but maybe you can look at some other specialty bra stores in your area.

Just another place you may not have thought of!

Try Herroom.com and Barenecessities.com. I've ordered suits from both sites and have been quite pleased with accurate sizing. Make sure you take your measurements accurately. Good luck!

Thanks all... I was trying to spend less than I'm sure they charge at the specialty bra shops, but will check them out, too.

I ordered that same Land's End suit in the next size up, so let's hope it's a winner. They are on sale since they are last year's suits, so a big benefit there ;)

Thanks also for the web site suggestions!

I took a chance on one on ebay that turned out really well- if you know your size well and are willing to take a chance then there's some bargains out there :)

Thanks for this! I'm a long way from getting a bikini but it's one of my goals. I've bookmarked all these recommendations.
