Casual-ish shoes to wear with jeans
I have never been a huge shoe person. I like shoes but between limited finances, large feet (women's size 11) and weight/health issue related foot pain for many years, I really have the bare minimum as far as shoes go. I want to find something besides my running shoes to wear with jeans but I really don't know what to look for. In the summer I wear sandles a lot, but in cold weather I don't know what to wear when it's cold. I wear dress shoes with a bit of a heel for work but I sit at a desk all day so the heel is okay. For every day shoes when I would be walking more, anything with much of a heel isn't going to be a great idea. I've been looking online at boots, ballet flats, etc, but I'm really not sure what look best with something like jeans and a sweater. Anybody have suggestions?

I'd go for boots, especially with the sweater.

This winter I'm seeing ankle boots everywhere. For spring, maybe ballet flats or loafers.

I wear Danskos. They have some cute styles but have more support and structure for those of us with difficult feet. I've also found that I need arch supports or the pain radiates up to my knees too!

Depends on the season, boots are good for winter, I usually wear sneakers if I am just doing something casual, if I want to look a little less casual I may wear loafers or ballet shoes or even flip flops of the weather is warmer.

I love ballet flats, but my feet are always cold now. I love wearing boots I find they work in a casual environment and a not so casual one.

Don't laugh, but I'm a huge Birkenstock fan. They have much cuter stuff than when I started wearing them. This is my current favorite style - they're actually pretty cute, even on my size 10 wide feet!

I actually have my eye on the pink floral ones - new rule at work, no more open toe shoes. All my cute sandals will now be day off shoes.

For comfort Berkenstocks are the best, but they are a bit hippie dippie. If you are looking for something a bit more stylish yet still comfortable try the Born or Clarks brand.

I have ankle boots. I try to look for something with a low heel personally..cause I'm a klutz >_<
I also suggest loafers, I've seen some cute ones for the spring season. They are casual/dressy and come in tons of styles.

I got some adorable Rocket Dog Mocassins last year, they look great with slim/skinny jeans. I think they're either a love or hate pair though

Plus, Rocket Dog shoes are super comfy and give a bit more support than reguar flats

These are my work shoes but they are totally adorable with jeans as well. Plus, they are super comfy--considering I walk, bend and squat all day, they are amazing.

I wear these with jeans as well

Otherwise, I wear cheapy ballet flats in colors-- red, blue, pinks, purple. I always get those at Payless, wear them for a couple months and then toss 'em

I suggest boat shoes of some brand/variety. They are comfy like tennis shoes but slightly nicer looking. I have a pair that I wear all the time.
