Question Levi's Curve ID Jeans

Hey ladies,

So I figured that when I get to goal, I should really get myself a great pair of good fitting jeans. Kind of as a reward, kind of because I will really need new jeans haha.

Has anyone tried the Curve ID jeans? They're supposed to be tailored to different amounts of curviness in women's thighs/bum/waist, and come in 4 different levels of curve.

I'm a definitely pear shape so I often have problems with jeans fitting in the thigh but gaping at the waist.

If you haven't tried these but are curvy and have found a style/brand you really like, please let me know! I've resorted to only buying super stretchy jeans but I'd like something with a bit more structure.

I've worn the lane bryant version, which obviously aren't quite the same, but my bf couldn't stop complimenting me. Being short, plus sized, and pear-shaped means that most pants don't fit me all that well, and it was so cool to have a fitted pair.

I know I'm just talking up the benefits of fitted pants, but I'm guessing that the levis ones will be nice as well!

I assume Kelly is referring to Lane Bryant's "Right Fit" brand. If so, Fashion Bug (a sister company) carries them for significantly less and sometimes buy one get one half off.

Thanks for your suggestions! Seems like a very similar concept to the Levi's jeans. I'll have to see what shipping is like to Canada - it can be brutal!!

I haven't tried the Curve ID jeans but have definitely thought about it! I have a pair of Levi's right now that I still wear even though they are too big. They're really comfortable and I like that the material in the jeans is thicker so they hold up well. I've really considered trying a pair of the Curve ID jeans because I tend to have the gap at the waist with Levi's so maybe that would correct the problem.

Does anyone know where these are sold? I'd like to try on a couple pairs.

I don't know where you live, but I was wondering the same thing and it looks like they do carry them at Macy's. I hope that helps.

I took the online test and it said I was a supreme curve.. but I have yet to try them! I wanted to wait to go to a Levi's store once I go back to school.. I hate shipping things back if they don't fit

runningfromfat - yes Levi's seem to stand the test of time. I have some shorts that are older than I am and they look brand new. If I try them on I'll let you know because the gaping waist is a huge problem for me too.

tkdtara - if you're in Canada, they have them at The Bay and at The Levi's Store. I assume The Levi's Store also exists in the US.

I'm going to the mall this afternoon so I might stop in and try them on - I'll report back if I do!

I am pear shaped, and am now too thin to wear the Lane Bryant ones...the brand that I wear are called Little In The Middle, or LTM for short.

They are expensive...but fabulous for extreme hourglass and pear shaped figures. She actually designed the jeans so compared to standard jean measurements, they are one size smaller in the waist than they are in the hip. A size 10.1, for instance, is a 10 waist, 12 hip/thigh. There is a measurement questionairre you can fill out, and you'll get an email telling you what size to order...and email and ask her about any sales or discounts! Best jeans I have ever worn! I would rather pay $$$ for one pair to fit CORRECTLY than to buy 4 pair that don't fit right.

I haven't tried the Levi's but it seems like there's lots of curvy fit going around, which I LOVE. I have some from Fashion Bug, but they stretchy. Last year the one near me was having a clearance on some weird sizing system they'd tried, and I got 3 pairs for $5 a piece. LL Bean had a curvy fit for their chinos last year, but I can't seem to find it this year. I just got some dress pants at Kohl's, can't remember the brand that were curvy fit. Lets hope its here to stay!

I sincerely hope it's here to stay! All of the low rise, slim fit through the hips and thighs/boot cut or flare styles of jeans are very well suited for straighter or apple shaped figures...but curvy women can't wear them! It didn't matter when I was a size 20, or now at a size 8...they are always too tight through the hips and thighs, and too loose at the top!

aphil - how much $ are we talking? A size smaller in the waist than the thigh sounds like what I need

She has jeans that vary from $50-$120ish...depending on the style. I love them.

I don't think they are carrying them for less anymore. They used to be between 20 and 30 bucks. They are now between 30 and 40 (closer to 40). I was rather annoyed when I discovered this. I would be willing to spend a little extra to get the LB ones at this point...better quality.
