I've been wanting to lift weights for ages but I'm too embarrassed to go and lift weights at the gym because I know that I will look stupid as I cannot lift that much. Even though I am pretty strong for a girl.
Go to Target or Walmart and buy your own. Target carries up to 35 lbs on the shelf here in the DC area, Walmart probably has more choices. They aren't expensive and TOTALLY worth it.

When I moved from 25# to over 30#s I started seeing improvements within a few days. Now I'm to the point where changes are incremental, but if you step up your weights now, you will see DRAMATIC improvements very quickly. Moving from 10# to 25#, for example, should make big improvements virtually overnight. Since I have a lot of choices at the gym, every now and then I try to do a couple of rows with the 45#s or 50#s and I can really feel it the next day.

Other bonuses - not just upper arms, but my back fat is gone too. Gone. All gone. Thank you, one-armed rows and deadlifts.

Default what's your weight routine

I bought 12 and 14 lb weights for now, and plan on using higher at the gym.

Can you tell me how many reps and weights you use for upper arms? I'm pretty savvy with lower body work outs but really need and want to focus on arms back and abs.

Thanks!
