Default tanning lotion and a "farmer's tan"

Ok, so its hardly even the beginning of summer and i have the dreaded "farmer's tan". I bought Jergen's Natural Glow tanning lotion. The question i have is this: if i use it all over my body will the parts that already have a tan on them(mainly my forearms and my legs) get darker than the skin with just lotion? Or with consistent application of the lotion will the color eventually even out?

If you have natural tan in some areas... it's going to get darker all over.. so you will still have lines..

Trust me! lol
Tanning beds are amazing to fix that though!

Ugh that's what i thought. I've been trying to just put sunscreen on the already tan parts in hopes that i will eventually even everything out. PLUS, whenever i tan i get these little white spots on my arms and legs. I don't know. :l

I have such weird skin.. it drives me insane.. when i'm in the sun all day i won't get totally red, just spotty lol
then a few days later it all evens out!
so I just give up on an even tan!

Could you try putting it on the untanned bits? I don't know if that would be too tricky...
