I have mixed feelings about my Spanx.

I have a longer torso, so I have a difficult time finding shapewear that comes up high enough to suit me. Spanx is awesome for that, my issue is that they say they don't roll down. They do. Not drastically, but if you are wearing something that shows every little bump, the rolled fabric at the top is kind of a giveaway.

I love Spanx. They're expensive but so worth it. If I wear a dress, I wear Spanx under. It's guaranteed to smooth out err "issues".

Note: IMO, it's not going to appear to take off more than 5lbs.. but every pound counts, right?

I have Spanx and I don't love them.....they make me feel constricted and I don't think they make a noticeable difference in my appearance...at least not to make the discomfort worthwhile.

I've had bad experiences with Spanx, but maybe I've been doing it wrong?

Usually I only pull them out when I'm wearing a tighter outfit (say, going clubbing in Vegas type outfit ). Then, either they're too long and run the risk of peeking out when I'm sitting, or they roll up randomly during the night, creating an awkward feeling and unsightly line.

I've also tried them with hose, but that generally leads to rolling up as well. I also tried the Spanx brand hose, but it ripped horribly after only 2 times worn.

Any help?

I always have this issue with shapewear too, I just can't figure out what my problem is. I actually like the constricted feel to them but just can't stand them rolling down all the time! ugh.

^ not sure why that happens but some people have that problem and some don't!

I LOVE my spanx! I rarely need them, but on occasion if i'm wearing a formal dress that's formfitting I'll bring them out and they are AMAZING!!!!!

I do not have a Spanx, but bought the Flexee's Fat Free Dressing Tank Top, OMG awesome! Got mine at Costco for $15. It comes in different styles cotton (which is the one I love), spandex, and cotton with lace on top and lower waist. The top area by your chest is reg material, it does not smash your boobs, under your bust to the lower belly (nice length) is firm controlled, it doesn't roll up, stays in place. LOVE it! Comes in white, pink and black. Well those are the colors Costco had.

I have the high waisted shorts ones.... I have a couple dresses that hang in a way that would cling to bad areas and these smooth those areas out perfectly!!! Love them!
