I'm interested in getting that piercing too in the future, and most places want you to be waxed or shaved when you go in to have it done. That would be the only reason I'd get a wax, though. It seems like it would feel like being a little girl again

Not very. I don't understand it either, but it itches like mad.
Thanks for the info though ladies. I'm gonna have to make an appointment soonish 'cause I'm going away in a month or so and I don't wanna scare the kids out of the pool

i hate that i'm going to have to wax everything too! i don't really think it's a good look.
I'm officially getting a christina piercing when i hit 160. i'm not really looking forward to it though, because i'll still be rather heavy and my piercer is pretty studly lol. how mortifying!

When I first thought about getting a christina, I took some super glue and a small jem and glued it there lol. Don't worry about being embarrassed - you've come far in your journey and you deserve it

So I'm jumping into this thread way late, but I do my own Brazillians! It takes nerves of steel to do it the first time, but then it's not too bad. I use hard wax from Bliss. I do use Bikini Zone gel afterward to ease the pain and redness, and I take an ibuprofen about half an hour before doing it.

Brown i agree with you about the piercing. I have one as well. Got it when i was about 17, hurt like **** but then was the quickest easiest healing ever. I decided to take it out when i was about 19, had it out for about 4 years and decided to see if it was still open and it was. From what i've heard these type of piercings just dont close up. I was amazed! So if anyones thinking about it i say go for it!
Bama girl I tried to do it myself once and i cried, it was horrible! I'm not sure i could do it myself!

So, my fellow hair removing friends, do you prefer waxing or sugaring? And where?
* Personally I prefer having my eyebrows waxed and my 'Brazillian' sugared.
Any preferences??

Papaya - I have the Wilkinson Sword (probably Schick in the US/Canada) Quattro for Women and I use that to trim things. You can choose how long you want the hair to be and I find it doesn't leave me itchy and it's SO much easier to use than a pair of scissors, which I used before. I'd definitely recommend trying it out, it's not that expensive and the other end is a normal razor anyway so you can use that for your legs etc and not have wasted your money if you don't like it

fireflies- congrats on working up the nerve to go! That to me was the hardest part.
misskoo- omg I would LOVE if my husband got a brazilian! But not regularly. sometimes i like all the hair, lol. as long as it stays off the chest, i'm okay with it though. tee hee
I'm overdue for my next brazilian but i'm waiting a few more weeks because my dh is gone for training and won't be back til the 23rd of august so I didn't want to get it done now and have it be growing back by the time he gets back. I absolutely LOVE how much thinner the hair grew back! some places it didn't even grow back at all. The hair actually feels nice to the touch now compared to how it used to fee, lol. tmi i know. I can't wait to make the appointment for my next one. I absolutely do not regret it!
And as far as the piercing talk..... OUCH! You are some BRAVE ladies! I actually had to look up pictures because I had no idea what u guys were talking about lol. I do have a question, I saw some different terms used like "hood" "christina" and the other one that was just 3 letters (can't remember what it was) but is there a difference between the 3? I looked at the pics that came up for each term but they all looked the same to me. I'm so curious about this.....part of me wants to get it done but the majority of me is like OMG THE PAIIINNNN and showing another guy your cooch! eeek! lol But I know for a fact my husband would absolutely love it.

And I was wondering if you could still get a brazilian wax with a vch piercing? And I kinda want to get one, but i've heard that it gets rejected a lot and if that's the case i don't want to pay money for something that's not going to be there a few years from now (if i choose to keep it)
