I would prefer they were more low-rise, actually lol. They're more like mid-rise jeans. I haven't tried the boyfriend fit, but I do really like their 77straights and the skinny jeans (which are really just straight-cut jeans :| not pleasing when you're looking FOR skinny jeans)

I actually found the sizing pretty accurate. They are very comfortable.Pretty cheap also since I am SURE you will be wearing them briefly until you once again go down a size. You are doing great BTW!!!!!!

Hey, thanks! I was looking in the closet today and found my current straight-leg jeans, like this:

http://tinyurl.com/mjrjmz

I have owned them in 18, 16, and then I realized--I should try these in 14. Duh. So I went to Penneys and got them on sale. Like you say, they won't be fitting very long but I need SOMETHING and these are fine. I wish they had a bit of a lower rise because these are bascially right at my belly button, but they'll do for now.

"I think what I'm looking for is the "boyfriend fit" that they show on their website."

I'm an American Eagle associate, and it's my job to find people the right jeans every day I work!

I recommend the AE Artist. It's been our most popular brand, so popular that we brought it back again after it had been discontinued for some time.

It has some stretch to it, but not too much, the button is mid waist, not belly button but just below.

They have a bit of flare to them, but they're more boot cut than flared.

I love the AE artist!

The boyfriend is fab, too, but it's kind of flared and it didn't seem like you wanted that.

I also like the AE Slim boot, I'm wearing them right now!

i had such trouble finsing nice jeans to fit me, on a tight budget, found some at Ross (boot cut)for only $10, size 16, hehe,, of course since im only 5 ft 1 they were a bit long, so i just sowed them up, but for that price...woohoo!!

after watching countless episodes of "look good naked" i found ive got a pear shape, so at least now i know what style pants to go for.
