I was perfectly smooth for about 9 days and then started seeing regrowth.

I do laser removal now. I've had 4 treatments (covering the same area as a brazilian). It's not as bad as waxing (but does hurt). But it's permanent hair reduction. Eventually you can be pretty much bare!

EDIT TO ADD: I live in a VERY expensive part of So Cal and I got a deal from a VERY upscale Spa. Brazilian bikini and underarms for $1200. Find out who's good and then wait for a special (prob a good time to look it NOW).

I specifically asked her, when setting up the appointment (not knowing yet I would end up having it done right there and then), what I need to do beforehand. I asked about trimming (mindful of this discussion) - and she specifically said "no trim".
Maybe different estheticians have different preferences? Dunno.

Oh totally. I have been to ... I think 3 different people? I love my current waxer the best of them all, but they were all good and they all did things a little differently. My current waxer is the one who did my first Brazillian and she advised trimming prior. But I'm sure they're all different!

Default scars

I have had 4 csections and am a little worried about waxing around the scars. That area is already tender since the scars still bother me even though they have been there for years. Any issues with waxing around the scars??

Thanks...

Well, here in my country we use something called sugaring which is better than waxing cuz with wax the hair regrown is a bit coarses but with sugaring its finer and now the hair down there lol is turning blonde and very fine cuz i've been doing it for over a year now.

I'm way too self conscious to ever attempt this but I've been curious about what it would feel like.

I KNOW for sure I will never wear anything that would make this even remotely necessary, LOL.

To be honest this is one of those "beauty" concepts that I just don't get, but there are plenty of others! Face piercing, spray-on tans, collogen lips, super-bleached teeth, tattoos, silicone boobs, come to think of it I save a ton of money with my antiquated 1970's "au natural" esthetic sensibilities!

Honestly for me it's not about "beauty" per se.

It's about ... what feels good. I like the feeling of it. My guy likes it - although he never thought he would or that it would make that big of a difference to him.

It's fun. Will I do it always? I dunno. For the forseeable future, yeah, I'm going to continue getting a full Brazilian. Maybe someday I won't. But for now, I like it. I enjoy how it makes me feel - sexy and with a bit of a secret.

I got my tattoo for the same reason - not as a beauty symbol or to please someone else. I got it for me - because I wanted it. And I plan to get another soon, and probably another after that.

I don't do it for beauty, either. I like the smooth feel and really hate to shave. I have an epilator, but the Brazilian is a lot faster, and it isn't me having to do the pulling!

Im getting one today and I havent had one in about a year. Not looking forward to the pain, but I hate shaving and I get so itchy its like worse then the pain from waxing I think.

I have always wanted to get one but have been too scared! I have gotten my eyebrows and upper lip done a lot but never anything else. Maybe one of these days I will get brave enough to do a brazilian!

I'm going sometime this week for my third one - this second one did seem to last a little longer, though I did do some epilating touch up during the last couple of weeks.
