Default boots for big calves? (rainboots and regular)

After the last Noreaster and the massive puddles that gather in my quad, I have renewed my search for good rainboots. Most that I've tried on in the past have been too tight around my calves causing them to bunch up weirdly. Anyone know of any brands you could get online that have wider calves and ankles? I'm a poor college student so I can't afford more than $100...

Ditto for regular boots as well. I'd like some black boots to wear with skirts but no luck finding anything that fits!

There is a whole subcategory of wide calf/stretch boots out there.

Try here:

http://www.shoes.com/cat_e.asp?N=4294967230+6207

That is the wide calf/stretch calf section of shoes.com.

Enjoy!

Those (except for one pair which does not list diameter/circumference) are all more dressy boots, not rainboots. I'm looking for things more like http://www.piperlime.com/browse/prod...7002&tid=PLSM1, or just bright colors in general. Most only are 15 1/2 inches at MOST which won't fit my 17 1/2 inch calves >.<

But thanks! Some of their sales seem good.

Costco recently had rainboots and I have large calves. I tried them on and they fit my calves.

You can also just do a google search for large calf rain boots.

Hi I found these boots at Payless...black dress boots and I personally thought they were cute http://www.payless.com/Catalog/Produ.../Extended_Calf

They have them in extended calf

They also have these that are brown dress boots with an extended calf http://www.payless.com/Catalog/Produ.../Extended_Calf

Then these are just a regular walking type boot http://www.payless.com/Catalog/Produ.../Extended_Calf

Plus all of those are under $50

Then Target Online has a ton of rainboots in all different colors and patterns, they are so adorable and it looks like the top of the boot you can adjust to whatever size you need ( make them tighter or looser etc) and they are all 18-20 dollars....here's the website

Lightbulb Try Target Online

Try Target Online. And then read from the readers reviews. That is very helpful and the boots come in all sorts of bright, cheery colors with an average price of under $25---you can afford more than one pair.

We have been in a drought all year here in Georgia so nary a puddle for us!

I'd love to have an excuse to wear some of those cute styles!

I'm actually from Georgia so I know how it is! I wish I could send some of these Noreasters back South so maybe I'd have drinking water when I go home (my house is about 10 minutes from Lake Lanier)! Last time I tried Target boots (granted about 2 years and 20 pounds ago), they did not fit around the calves, even at the furthest out. :\ They might fit now though.

Default Rain boots

I am so glad I read this thread. I just got some rainboots from walmart online. I was so excited to wear them because they were so cute. When I put them on they scrunced down and they did not look cute. I was not sure if it was becasue of my calf size. After reading this I am sure that it is. I looked everywhere online with no luck of finding cute ones for plus size. Guess I will return them and wait till I lose weight.

Rainboots from RSVP off of 6PM.com may work. Both my sister and I have a pair and she has larger calves than I do.
