Not changing the ticker - couldn't hold the loss over the weekend (Saturday okay, last night for game time - big NOPE). I have too many friends that know how to do irresistible things to food - and we invited a few of them. I'll have to see how fast this comes back off to know whether the low numbers were flukes, or if today is just bloat.

My weight is the same as last week, even with some Super Bowl eating (but not much). The only thing to do is hang in!

My weight actually the same as last week too, which I didn't think of as a good thing until just this minute. All I've been thinking today is how crummy the weekend was and how bad of a job I did.

I'm working on re-framing the negative in my head. I think that is a good place to start.

Shannon, nothing wrong at all with maintaining in the face of adversity. Reframing the negative is a great habit; I've been trying to "cultivate an attitude of gratitude" as feel-good blogs instruct us to do. It is actually working, but only if I say the positive things out loud.

Thanks! I'm still working on the positive, not quite to saying them out loud yet.

Saying it out loud is the fun part, especially in public surrounded by strangers

I've recommitted to a fully vegan lifestyle, with no added sugars/oils and only whole grains. I maintained a happy weight for years doing this, rather than calorie counting. Curious if it still works to eat with no portion/calorie control, now that I'm 20 years older.

JZJ, I'm curious if your definition of whole grains includes flour made from whole grains, or only unprocessed ones. And what does no added oil mean? Do you really eat only olives, coconut and avocado as sources of fat? Do you not do stir-frying?

I've been great on exercise this week, kind of up and down with food.

I have been consistent with the meditation, though. I'm on day 8 today of my headspace, which is technically day 11 since I did 3 on my own before I started my 30 day study. I do think it is helping. I have had a few incidents this week where I would normally have lost it where I was able to stop and not get ticked off. It has been interesting.

Been an absolutely insane week. But the day did end yesterday with a job offer, and yes, I'm going to take it. I am jumping the gun somewhat, as I told my boss that he'll get my letter on Monday and the 26th will be my last day. I'm going to orchestrate a long weekend before I start the new job. Have to jump through some hoops with the drug test, etc - so start date is not firm right now. Whew!
