Made it to Arizona late last night. Waiting on dd to pick me up... She wants me to see the elementary school she works at, take her shopping, and she's getting academic recognition today!

Not a runner but ran this morning! Already feeling it in my quads! Was hoping to try a bikram class here but I only have today and tomorrow with dd so I want to spend the time with her.

After reading all your reports of skin cancer on legs, I will be doubly diligent to check them (and have dr check them) for any signs. Thanks.

Hope the AZ weather is nice, Michele. We are heating back up in Calif.

We did get to hear La Boheme by the Boston Lyric Opera last night. It was staged in the student riots of 1968 Paris rather than the 1840s.

Alas, SPOILER ALERT Mimi dies, again. /SPOILER. It seemed to be from 'Consumption' just as it was in 1840, despite my belief that French Medicine's understanding of Tuberculosis had advanced greatly in the intervening 120 years. The music was Puccini at his best. It does my heart good to hear a well-done live performance.

While not an opera fan, I do believe live performances are the best. I love a good orchestra or band performance. I haven't been to one since DD graduated college. She's too busy getting her PhD now to do much in the way of music, but plans on joining a community orchestra once she's done with that.

My car is in the shop. I was running errands Thursday when I got a message that my coolant level was low, but the car was not overheating. My guy at the dealership thinks a hose probably broke. I had a pool of coolant all over the garage (good thing I have cats--cat litter did help contain all that). I had to have the car towed to the dealership yesterday and probably won't get it back until mid-week next week.

Darn, I'll have to drive the Porsche. Well, actually DH and I will trade who drives it. I'll drive his car into work so the dogs can come, too. I could probably get the dogs in the Porsche, but one would have to sit on the floor and I don't think they'd like that too much.
