Andrea, I was looking for an image with a woman doing a lot of varied exercises. Runners are easier to find but not an image with many activities. I think I just take for granted that these kinds of pictures are populated by fitness models who are likely photoshopped.

Monday, August 5th:

A tough 45-minute spin class, which made me realize I'm not as fit as I think
Some adductor work also.

Oh my goodness. I need to get back into it! Was on vacation August 4-today.

Monday, 8/5: Went to PLANET FITNESS in Hixson, TN with my friend. 1 mile warmup run, DB bench press, DB shoulder press, barbell face pulls, dips and pullups and chinups on Gravitron, glute bridges w/45 lb plates, DB split squats, DB lat flies, 0.5 mile HIIT intervals, 0.5 mile cool down.

Tuesday, 8/6: 5K run on treadmill at a silly hotel gym. Some walking throughout the day.

Today, Wednesday, 8/7: SPRINTED through ATL airport from security checkpoint to gate D37. Ha.

August 7: 45 minutes weight lifting (back and glutes)
20 minutes foam rolling
30 minutes kayaking

This was the first time I have ever kayaked and O.M.G. I totally loved it, plus it was an awesome workout! Even though I'm in pretty good shape I know I am going to feel it tomorrow - I'm thinking specifically in my chest.

It's past midnight, I need to go to bed, but this is what happened at the gorgeous and exceptionally well-equipped gym at the Ritz-Carlton in Grande Lakes, Orlando. (And since I've been living in Hotel/Convention Center Land, I really don't know what today's date is, or what happened in the larger world while I was basically sequestered.)

Tuesday: At my gym at home, 30 minutes Stairmaster, then just about 60 minutes chest, shoulders & triceps, then had to go home & shower, finish packing and get to the airport. Once at the hotel, off to that gym to finish up my weight routine and finish out the 30 minutes, this time on the elliptical.
Wednesday: 60 minutes on the elliptical, delighted that it was exactly the same model as at my gym at home, resistance at nine, random intervals, hard to push, pool of sweat on the floor from the Florida humidity
Thursday: 60 minutes on the arc trainer, resistance at nine, hill intervals, another pool of sweat on the floor afterward
Friday: Just 60 minutes of back & bicep work, no cardio, I feel GUILTY

Okay, and I totally understand now why no one in Florida should be outdoors running in August. The humidity stunned me. I have never before experienced anything like it. (Keep in mind though that I've never traveled anywhere near the equator.)

Saturday, August 10th:

60 minute spin class, with weight and resistance band intervals
45 minute Pilates mat class, cut short when I had a really piercing, sudden & painful cramp in my calf. Which is actually (I think) from running around in high heels in the airport while toting laptop, heavy tote and heavy luggage yesterday.
