Thoughts/update from a relatively new maintainer

    I lost most of my weight in 2011 and have kept it off since. I posted my goal story at the time. I Actually lost a few additional pounds and kept dropping sizes through 2012. I also have decreased my body-fat percentage. Overtime I've switched how I eat, how I workout, etc but have always had to remain vigilant whether through the scale or logging food etc. to make sure I don't regain. So I guess nothing has been constant except constant vigilance.

    I've had a relapse of my bingeing/purging ED which I am now recovering from. I've been sick, on vacation, business travel etc. I've just lived life, but I've never taken my weight loss for granted and I keep it in mind virtually every day.

    I don't consider maintenance easy nor hard. It's just the choice I make every day. Nobody forces me to do it but the benefits far outweigh any negatives.

    I realize these are rambling random thoughts but I felt like saying hi since I've been lurking more than usual lately . So HI! And thanks for all your collective wisdom.
  • Hi! Welcome to maintainers. Your plan is pretty much what I do also. I keep it in mind all the time, I do have an occasional binge , as long as it stays at one day, no lasting harm is done.
