Tuesday, April 16:

30 minutes Stairmaster, resistance at nine, aerobic intervals
60 minutes shoulders, chest and triceps routine
20 minutes back on Stairmaster. Yes, 10 minutes short of the usual. Amazing feeling of guilt walking out of the gym, but I needed the time before an 8:30 AM meeting

Because I didn't keep to my routine for Tuesday, which is 30 minutes of cardio before and then after a strength training session.

Yes, it's magical thinking, and using exercise as a talisman, which is why I'm confessing here, because getting it down in black & white makes me confront it.

A talisman that I've done one thing that surely will have good results, since I'm not used to immediate gratification.

Food used to offer immediate gratification, and I think my life has become all about delayed gratification.
