60 minutes Stairmaster, aerobic intervals, resistance at nine, split into half-hour sessions
60 minutes back & biceps routine, on that annoying Gravitron, working my shoulder blades
April 4: 3 mile (ish) jog around a historic cemetery with BF
April 5 AM: 15 minutes Tabata-style HIIT on arc trainer, KB lunges and split squats, 5 minutes speedwalking at 5 mph on 5.0 incline on treadmill
Wed 4/3: off f day, planned
Thurs 4/4: off day, unplanned
Fri 4/5:
25 minutes of weightlifting - first time with my barbell in a while, felt good
15 minutes of kickboxing
30 minutes on elliptical intervals
April 6: 95 minutes Bikram Yoga-- was going to go to Spin instead because I've not had much variety (at all) since returning home from the cruise-- but they were having a special day at the gym and all the regular classes weren't be held-- I had a funeral/memorial to go to and I didn't want to do something "unknown". I thought I'd go to Zumba today (Sunday) but the instructor I like isn't there. Sigh... I know.... I need to be more flexible.
April 6: nothing, sick/rest day
April 7 afternoon: pullups/dips on Gravitron, DB shoulder press, KB swings, squats
April 7 PM evening: nice walk up and down the hills of Troy with roommate, 40 minutes or so
15 minutes elliptical, manual, resistance down at 6, backward, as a warmup
30 minute training session doing bench presses (correcting my form, as I'd been holding the barbell too far up, not at the top of my ribs), incline bench presses, dips on the Gravitron, then skull-crushers and close-grip presses, and then cable pulls for the triceps.
60 minutes back on the elliptical, random intervals, resistance back up to nine, alternating forward and backward
I love the training sessions but dread them, too, partly because I have to get to the gym by 5:30 - 5:45 AM to warmup beforehand, and that's tough on a Monday. (I missed the "Madmen" premiere last night to get to bed early, unfortunately.) But also partly because I find myself wanting to live up to the trainer's expectations. What does it mean, that it matters so much to me what the trainer thinks? Will I ever outgrow being a Daddy-Pleaser?

April 7: 95 minutes Bikram Yoga (with dh). The owner of the studio instructed the class because most of his instructors are on trips. He was amazing. It was so hard. He really kept the timing right and walked around correcting/improving form. It was nice because it was a smallish class so he could do that. He pointed out two things to me that I should work on-- two things that I had never realized-- I tried to do what he was showing me and ended up with cramping in weird muscles-- ouch!
