We haven't had a shopping thread in awhile...
Well, Jason and I finally bought a house in July. It's awesome but we're kinda broke right now. I can only sadly leaf through catalogs and dream about the outfits. I just got the new Boden catalog and ohmygod, so much cute stuff.
I am dying for this shirt and cardigan combo:
Top in olive/rosebud
chiffon trim cardigan in gold
There are also a ton of cute skirts and dresses, will have to pray for an a great sale later this year.
Anyone else found anything awesome for fall?

I bought 2 beautiful desses from the Banana Republic "Mad Men" collection.

The lace one I bought in black but it sold out in about an hour so they're not showing that colour any more.
I'm going to wear the burgundy dress with glitzy jewellery, black hose and black suede pumps. The lace one will dress up and dress down and works with just about everything in my closet. I have a pair of grey oxfords with black velvet laces that I will probably try the dress with, along with a grey/black leopard print cardigan. Lots of colourful jewellery to spice it up a bit.
That will probably be my shopping for this fall. I'm paring down my closet in a general reduction of all the "stuff" I've accumulated in the last 5 years of living here.

Thanks, Mudpie - that was exactly what I was hoping for, gorgeous clothes. The whole collection is amazing, would die for the lace trimmed dress in black. I have an odd body shape for BR (short waisted, hippy) but would love to try that on, would totally rock for work!
Hey Bargoo - yes, we had a roller coaster 2 year house hunt. From crazy sellers reneging on deals to Jason getting laid off 1 month before we closed on a dream house we were building. But, we finally found an awesome house. We are still in San Diego (slightly north in San Marcos) and our new house is ALMOST as good as the house we were building. Of course, we didn't get to pick every little thing to our taste (the kitchen cabinets are a color I wouldn't have picked, for example) - but it's closer to work, cooler (on the west side, closer to the ocean) and was a lot less money. AND we have a gorgeous, fully landscaped back yard, the other house would have been practically bare dirt for a long time.
Since we waited a year (Jason was eventually hired back at the company that laid him off - they realized they needed him desperately) we got a better interest rate and house prices were still falling, so I think we got a great deal.
Pictures (from the listing, that isn't our furniture - we're going to have empty rooms for YEARS - we moved from a tiny condo!)

Moving has been busy busy - but I pretty much stayed on plan (I did eat fast food!! Like, 3 times!!! omg).
If you're on FB - friend me!

I just went shopping in my closet since I had regained all the weight I had taken off in 2007 due to a medicine switch, which fortunately was switched again last September and I'm back to my normal size. so I put away all my size 8-12's and got out my size 2-6's.
Yesterday, DH said, "is that a new dress", nope, it's just one I bought at the end of summer of 2007, wore once then it got cold and in January of 2008 I had to go back on the heavy medicine. I've told my doctor I've been on it twice and twice I've gained 30-40 pounds so I'm never going back on it.
Gloria - love your backyard. Hope you like gardening to keep it up.

Beaautiful house Glory And there's nothing wrong with spacious, almost empty rooms. They look very elegant!
BTW I too am short-waisted and "hippy" and the BR black dress looks fine on me with the correct undies (briefs).

Jen~the house is beautiful. I love the kitchen and the view out to your gazebo.
The only thing I've been buying is swim suits for our upcoming trip to Costa Rica. No pics to show, though.

Jen - I love your house pics!
I did some shopping recently, bought some clearance sundresses but can't find pics as they are all clearance items... I really need some new fall clothes, too.

Love the sweater dress, but no way could I wear that! Too hot here and the dress is too short for my taste. The workout clothes are really cute.

I love shopping but am currently on a shopping ban due to DD24's upcoming wedding Oct 1, which has been in effect for well over a year now. Luckily, I do have plenty of clothes that do fit and enjoy finding new ways to wear items. After the wedding, all bet's are off! I'm going shopping! I'm hoping that I can find fall sales/clearance then.
