Awesome Mommy! You know, I think that is why, I have been successful, (so far/this time around), when I was never was able to maintain before. A slip, a bump, a jolt in the road, is not a good enough reason to quit. In times past, the minute I would fall off the wagon, I was done. I couldn't grasp the concept that this was life, that $hit happens and there will always be a food buffet around the corner. It's not over until the fat lady sings!! We all over eat at times, it's in our genetics for the survival of the fittest. But when we learn that one eating event, (or a few days of them) is not the end of the road is when we start learning how to actually manage our body weights.

Anyway, great job getting back on track. None of those, "I'm back and gained back all my weight back" posts for us!

Hey there luckymommy! Sorry I'm a bit late to the party!

Just got back from an incredibly indulgent weekend (even for me)...I'm talking burgers and hot dogs, cakes, cookies icecream...GALORE!!!

Got on the scale this morn...157!!!!

No worries...I'm a bit backed up...and sure...I probably did gain a few pounds of fat...but ehhh...SO WHAT? Time to get back on the horse...but really...I don't regret it...it was AWESOME!

In short...kick the dust off and move along...hope you enjoyed your vacation...you look SMASHING!

Lori Bell, I love your attitude! Yes, no more "I gained all my weight back" for us! I honestly don't ever want that to happen and this is the first time in my life when I realize just how likely it IS to happen, which has made me that much more diligent about getting back on track as soon as I can.

Joyfulloser, I love how joyful you are! I'm pretty sure you'll see some serious weight loss now that you're back. In the last 2 days, I've lost 6lbs., which means that most of it wasn't fat, but water. Yes, I've been active and eating very clean but really, there's no way I could lose actual six lbs. of fat in 2 days. But, it sounds like you're taking steps in the right direction so you have much to be proud of!

I agree Lori Bell!
I am getting too old for the "I'm back and gained it all back" posts of previous attempts. I doubt I have enough years left to keep starting over. Of course we are going to eat more and not always the "right" stuff from time to time. It makes us human and normal. It's what we do after the inevitable overeating that is of utmost importance.
I too have finally figured out that maintenance is forever, not something I can do "until".

Ok, sorry to monopolize my own thread! Haha! I got on the scale this morning and I'm back to being in my maintenance range! Yay! I'm on the higher end of it, but I can't complain! I'm sooooo happy!!!! Now if only my migraine wasn't so awful that would be awesome.

p.s. I'm at 154.5 today but some of that is probably still water weight since I'm bloated. I won't let it go to my head though....undoing 8 lbs. of damage in 3 days doesn't mean that I'll just let myself pig out the next time I travel. I probably will end up doing it, but it will not be something I'm ever in control of or am comfortable with.....thanks for letting me share.

I simply love your sentence..If I had super power....
3FC is super super helping caring group. I am planning to go on a vacation for 2 months and I am scared. But now I know..I have to plan another 2 months for coming back to my initial weight and then going downwards..
I luv it.

puneri, you can do it! You will figure it out and you'll find a way to get it done! I don't envy your 2 months away from routine, but I do know that we'll all be here to support you in any way we can. I hope you'll have 3fc access.
