I am recommitting after a holiday season that was a bit too indulgent. Today was my first weigh in over red-line, but one is enough! No more! Still fighting this awful sore throat/cold thing (I think it turned into a sinus/ear infection, and that's why it's hanging around), but all symptoms are above neck so exercise is non-negotiable.

B - Bagel thin pizza (bagel thin, part skim mozzarella, pizza sauce, turkey
S - Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup grapes
L - Soup, whole wheat roll
S - Protein Shake
D - Soup, whole wheat roll (I think Sarah is going to make a big pot of chicken noodle to drive the sickies away).
S - NSA Ice Cream

E - 70 min incline trainer, 60 min strength, 0 min excuses!

The first P90X meal that DD made last night was good, but way too salty. Regardless, my weight was down this morning, so no complaints there. I got a wonderful night sleep (first in over a week it seems) and that made my morning so much nicer. Funny how I don't get hungry as early when I sleep well. I didn't eat breakfast before leaving for work, but I have plenty here to eat, so I'm not worried.

Back under redline, but barely. Sticking with it today despite the ongoing cold/sick situation. Yesterday I did get through my cardio and lifting, but then I felt like poop, so perhaps today I'll go a bit easier.

I logged my calories yesterday, and it came out to 1334, and I was wondering why I was so hungry but I figured it was because I'd been eating too much lately, so I went to bed to avoid eating anymore. This morning I realized I accidentally logged yesterday's oatmeal twice, and I actually ate more like 1100 calories yesterday. :rolleyes: Oh well, weight is headed down so it's all good.

Last night's dinner was baked turkey breast slices with "gravy" (low sodium, low fat chicken broth instead of drippings, shallots, flour and poultry seasoning--it was good, though). Roasted green beans and butternut squash soup (shallots, garlic, butternut squash and a little chicken broth)

I am worrying that I have a mild exercise addiction, because I know that I'm sick and should not be working out, but I feel so guilty for being a slug.

Today I will walk the dog. And maybe do some yoga if I feel up to it. And I won't feel bad about it, darn it.

Weekend update for me as well:

Friday recap, for lunch I had clam chowder in a sourdough bowl. The soup was low fat, but that's a lot of bread (but oh, so yummy). I had two small glasses of wine with dinner.

Saturday
B~mini bagel w/cranberry orange cream cheese
L~quesadilla & small fries, beer
D~homemade ham & bean soup (made a HUGE pot for lunches next week), three (oops) whiskey sours with sf sour mix

Sunday
B~egg white "mcmuffin"
L~salad of romaine with peppers, oranges and pork tenderloin with a vinaigrette based on olive oil and lime and orange juices with some dijon mustard
D~steak, broccoli, wild rice combo, 2 martinis

My weight did not fluctuate from Friday morning to Monday morning, so the alcohol prevented me from losing, but thankfully I didn't gain. Next weekend I'll be more mindful and will not succumb to the third cocktail and I'll attempt to keep it at one.

Forgot to add today's plan:

L~bean soup (comes in at about 300 cals per serving), yogurt, pear
D~asparagus soup and chicken--this was REALLY REALLY good! PUree of asparagus soup (and I normally don't like asparagus all that much) with chicken breasts topped with a lemon dill sauce. No fat at all (except what was in the chicken). I think I'll post these recipes in the recipe thread.

Hi guys! Feeling so happy not to be sick anymore! OP yesterday - had turkey tenderloins, broccoli, and WW couscous with a few golden raisins for dinner.

S - Protein shake...been hard to do this since I'm so cold, but I notice a difference on my lifting recovery if I don't, so I'll huddle by the space heater while I drink.

So I wonder if I'm getting old.....Lately I've been trying more and more to get a full 7 to 8 hours of sleep and I've been successful at that. But I find that after a day of work (and my days are not that busy) I come home and once I sit down I feel the need to drift off to sleep (usually at a ridiculously early hour of 6 or 7 PM). And if I sit down to read at any time of the day I fall asleep.

Allison, maybe this is stating the obvious, but last week when you lost a whole lot, you didn't have any drinks M-Th. Maybe the reason you aren't losing now is that you were drinking this week?

I'm just going to throw a summary of pluses and minuses for the last few days, since I was traveling on business.

Minuses: Had to skip workout on Tuesday, and sort of beat myself up for it (which is a separate issue...realistically, it was NOT a good idea to try to get up at 4:30 to exercise after getting to hotel late at 12:30 after a delayed flight, but I felt bad about it anyway, which to me indicates a problem), bags of candy floating around the conference table resulted in exactly 11 pieces of 25 calorie/piece mini 3 Musketeers bars crossing my lips in two days.

Pluses: Bypassed the muffin/coffee cake/brownie/office birthday cake/etc going around, which made the 300 or so calories of candy over two days much more acceptable, got my workouts in on Monday and Wednesday, stuck with protein bar breakfasts/nuts for snack/lunches and dinners as healthy as I could get them with the catered, no choice food options...did a lot of taking off half of the bread, supplementing with fruit and nuts/healthy fats, and generally making myself healthy, veggie-filled plates. Walked a lot in airports, filled plates with salad, and made sure I was staying hydrated by keeping a water bottle on hand at all times.

Plan for today, now that I'm in my home environment:

B - Bagel thin, cream cheese, turkey
S - Banana w/ 1 tsp PB
L - Tuna on english muffin
S - Protein Shake
D - Not sure yet. Need to go to store. Will NOT get takeout, though (had enough of that with the catered meeting food!)
S - NSA Ice Cream

E - 30 min cardio (done), 1 hr strength (about to do), 45 min cardio session 2
