Thank you, Meg, for starting the thread.
Today I'm continuing to move the saw and the axe. The firewood job is having to stand in for the gymn for reasons of time. Rest assured, I hold my tummy in!
Next, please!

Oct. 1: 15 minutes on Concept II, no idea what the statistics were, as I hit the button trying to get a different screen display & ended up wiping out my record. Apparently there is no "back" button on this thing
60 minutes weights
45 minutes elliptical, intervals, resistance at 8, half backward, this thing kicked my butt when it hit the peaks of 11 and 12
I sooo did not want to go to the gym this morning. I nearly fell asleep over my breakfast. Also, we were having a torrential downpour, which the local weather people were half-hysterical over. (All-day news programs makes newscasters more hysterical over relatively common/minor events, which get annoyingly exhaustive coverage.) But I did get out. And got the job done.
But now late today, my throat feels scratchy & sore. So the tiredness appears to have meant I was coming down with something.

Saef, we had the rain yesterday and boy it was all they could talk about on the radio.
Sznn, is turkey the traditional Thanksgiving meal in Canada as well? (with the turkey trot and all). One year I had duck for Thanksgiving and I swear it threw off my entire holiday season.
October 1
5.2 mile run
~52 minutes (forgot to stop my watch)
Unusual late afternoon run due to DD staying home from school (don't ask). Beautiful, cool, breezy afternoon and a most enjoyable run!

Oct. 2: 45 minutes spin class
60 minutes Pilates class
Sore throat continues into its second day, and a slight lag in reaction time & a little less energy at the gym. But I feel better than before I went out this morning.

And, for an encore, the Turkish get up?? No, not really possible, I know. Hope everyone's doing well, Meg. It's a huge change of pace for all concerned.
Just the usual here plus building a store to keep the kindling dry (ongoing).
A scratchy throat is horrid, saef.

October 2:
3.1 mile run
31 minutes
Tired legs from yesterday's run. Tired mind & body from being up all night with a wheezing, croup-like toddler. Dropped DD at soccer and ran from there. Went out slowly and realized as I turned to head back that soccer is 50 minutes, not a full hour. Had to hoof it back but made it with a few minutes to spare. Strange run because I held my phone (in case DH called about DS the wheezer) and forgot to take off my sunglasses. Far too many accessories.

Amy - pretty much everything is the same here in Canada as the US...except we pay more for it
Just went and signed up for a new gym - 1/2 walk each way = 1hr walk total.
Hope to get in 3x spin class/wk. That will make it pretty much 6hrs of exercise/wk. If i throw in a few runs - i should see some results.
....not if i could only cut out the extra cookies and wontons

Oct. 3: 15:06 minutes rowing on the Concept II, 36 s/m, 2:30 500 meter, total of 2998 meters, average 2:31, projected 5984
60 minutes weights
45 minute spin class, with slightly quivering quads after leaving Tricia's House of Pain, so I can't joke anymore about Karen925's quivering thighs sounding like phrase in a romance novel. I had better keep walking today or these are going to be painful tomorrow & I've got to sit on a plane for a good part of the day. Sore throat is gone, replaced with a runny nose, which should also be enjoyable while traveling.

October 3
8.2 mile run
78 minutes
Fabulous run! Amazing run! Wonderful run! The kind of run that makes people want to run! I came in with so many endorphins coursing through my body, I couldn't figure out why my husband wasn't having a runner's high, too. Maybe because he was sitting on the couch...

I had a great run too - not quite as fast or far as yours Amy.
But great just the same.

Oct. 4: 45 minute spin class at 6 a.m. Monday with the die-hards, the real gym rats. When I was leaving, I saw three class members had commenced running on the row of treadmills visible in the front window. I felt guilty walking past them, as if I ought to be doing more.
I'll be sitting on a plane for a long time today, so I was glad to get my exercise done early. I'm flying out of LaGuardia to Denver, and from thence to Kalispell, Montana, to go hiking for five days in Glacier National Park. Back in 2007, when I was over 100 pounds heavier, I would never have dreamed of taking such a trip.
I used to look at "outdoorsy couples" in envy & imagine their lives consisted of taking such trips: Tanned, tow-headed, his n' her cargo shorts, defined quads, rock-hard calves, the whole L.L. Bean (only more expensive boutique brands), probably from Colorado but now living in NY & going up to the Catskills every weekend. These couples seemed like a breed apart. One of my goals is to "pass" in these peoples' company & to be taken for one of them. Maybe now I can.

Saef--I am totally envious of your trip to Glacier! Hope it's not too cold yet for you. Gosh, have a great time and stay safe/saef! Have you been out there before?
