Ha! I like the thought of that T-shirt Sznn.

Shannon, I banged out a 10 K today. And then I took a nap.

I took Chico for a 2 mile walk today and tried jogging. I managed (very slowly) for about 3/4 a mile all on a slight downhill. It didn't hurt my torn meniscus at all, but I came home and iced it while I had my coffee and read my paper. My PT guy said icing is always a good idea.

We had a nice lunch out today (crab salad--very much like a chopped cobb salad). I was stuffed and felt like it was a good choice--even the dressing was very light in taste. I did have a glass of wine and ended up coming home and taking a nap! It's fine. I deserve one once in a while!

We were going to go see a movie but nothing this weekend is appealing. Waiting until next weekend for Despicable Me--that looks like fun.

Talking Happy 4th Americans!

I think the name of your holiday is "Independence Day"?

I am finally back in sync (somewhat) with what day it is and the date, etc. Got all my gardening, laundry, bookkeeping, mail sorting, laundry, etc. done Friday and yesterday so today is going to be a lazy day after I do my weights workout.

I took DH out to see "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" yesterday - great film! I must order the books before they are only available in small paperbacks.

Today we will probably go for a walk (groan) this afternoon. I'd rather take the kayaks out but DH's hernia is bothering him a lot and my wrist is not in good shape either. Maybe we'll compromise and go biking.

Have a great day everyone and enjoy the holiday!

Dagmar

Lived through the Peachtree Road Race! Whew. Now I think I need a nap, too.

Happy 4th everyone! (Yes Dagmar, technically it is "independence day"!)

Shannon, great job on your race!

I am exhausted. Luckily DH is cooking me a nice enormous dinner to make up for all the calories I burned working out this weekend. Yesterday we got up bright and early so DH could run the 4.5 mile Freedom Run race (kicks off the 4th of July festival in town). He did a great job, came in at about 35 minutes. Then we went home and I took off for a brick workout (1 hour interval bike ride, 30 min negative split run). Today we went over to the park that my tri is going to be in so I could swim in the reservoir and bike the race route. DH came with me to do a long run (10k) in the park as well. He started out on his run right after I got in the water, then I biked the route (it's an out and back, I just did one direction) and continued to bike the rest of the way home -- 16 miles. It was pretty funny because I got up to our neighborhood at the exact same time DH was coming from the other direction in the car!

In any case I'm ready to eat a massive dinner and go straight to sleep. Too bad I'll be kept up late tonight by fireworks!
