Default Exciting - I might get to talk to the Super Foods author!

So, in the No Excuses thread, I mentioned I went to a CAbi clothing show, hosted by my former Realtor, a super sweet lady named Toni. I had a really fun time (and avoided the delicious snacks, go me).

Anyway, I sat next to a lady named Jeannie and we were chitchatting, turns out she works WITH Dr. Pratt! He is an opthamologist and she is an RN and he comes to her hospital once a week or so!

So, I gave Jeannie my email address and asked her to please pass it to Dr. Pratt. I would dearly love the opportunity to tell him he changed my life!

For some reason, I had no idea he lived in San Diego. When I bought the Super Foods book way back in July 2004, I was living in Seattle!

Heh, it's like meeting a rockstar or something.

That is so cool! You're his biggest advocate! I wish he could know how many people you've influenced to buy his books and try out his ideas. Hey, he should be thrilled to meet YOU!!

This is exactly what I was thinking.

If he were to only know about you, he would love the opportunity to meet with you.

I hope it works out!!

I find it funny that Dr. Pratt is an ophthalmologist! But I'm happy that you might get to meet him!

Oh, and I love CABi!! Wish someone here would invite me to a party (regardless of snacks!).

Yes. I found that a bit odd as well. An ophthalmologist? What's up with that?

Heh I don't know, maybe I'll get a chance to ask him! It makes sense, kinda. Maybe he got started with the study that proves spinach is good for eyes and just snowballed from there?

SO, SO, SO tremendously exciting. At your urgence (as read in your very long weightloss story) I also read the book and yes, I would even say it changed my life. Go you!

I had an update! My new friend Jeannie did talk to Dr. Pratt and apparently, he wants to talk to me too! She gave him my email address so I am trying not to compulsively check it every 90 seconds. She said that he wished he had known about me earlier, he would have liked to have interviewed me for his article in People magazine!

Still, very goofily excited about talking to Dr. Pratt

Well, my new friend talked to Dr. Pratt and he said he was sorry he kept forgetting to email me. Instead, he gave her his email address and said that I should email him!!!

Now, I have to figure out what to say!!!

If anyone else wants to blurb their love for super foods, I would love to include it! You can write it here or PM me. If you'd rather use your real first name/location and don't want to post it here, I totally understand.

Okay so this is really happening!!!

You my dear are one of the most eloquent writers around here, that coupled with the fact that your love for the Superfoods probably surpasses all of us. Why not look at some of your previous posts, maybe your "story", I'm sure there's some great stuff already printed up that would be a great start.

I'm so excited for you!

Glory -- I wanted to tell you that -- months ago -- I copied and pasted your "SuperFoods" story in a word-processing document where I keep stories and comments that speak to me on my weight-loss journey. I love your story and wanted to tell you the SuperFoods author should be just as excited to meet YOU as you are to meet HIM!
