Hello all-- scale down to 124/125 keeps bouncing but it is lower in either case. Dinner out with friends if hubbie's back allows (it's been BAD since Thursday) and I plan to have one glass//possibly two but likely one glass of wine and some very op food. my goal- to see 124 or 5 again in the am.
Megan, very proud of you
Yoyo, nice planning-- so helpful!
Jessica, wtg on goal!
Ward, keep fighting the good fight-- fake it till you make it
Silver, sounds like busy is good. now to keep a good balance....
ICU, I had a poptart last weekend and had immediate heartburn--- lesson relearned!
Midwife, I am seeing you in yoyo's avatar-- I think primates are cute
go team!!!!

3 days under 150 ... despite a decently grueling 2400yds last night in a too-warm pool. Challenge ahead this evening in facing off with pizza and beer. Yours truly is bringing the big colorful salad. Will check in tomorrow and tell you that I perservered and at minimum, stayed under the calorie limits!

Great job guys!!
Kitty, Nanowrimo has died a slow death. November is really such a busy month for me! I think I should do my own nanowrimo in March---31 days and no holidays! That makes more sense to me!
Well, I came into my kitchen this morning and the turkey was gone. All that was left was the package and a puddle of green liquid. The local news keeps breaking in on the TV to report some kind of foul zombie running loose by the river....or do they mean fowl zombie? I'm certain there is no connection to my missing bird!
All kidding aside, I went and ORDERED a roasted turkey from the local farm store. I don't even have to cook it!!!
Time to go rescusitate (sp?) the house!
Ward! Cling to that resolve, lady!

Brilliant work, Jessica and Megan! That 5lbs is feeling distant for me at present though I could surprise myself. Scales have pinged back up in last few days. Pantsometers were about the same this morning.

Successful in dodging the caloric bullet last night ... but need to weed out another "bloat" culprit somewhere - I was 3 pounds up "magically".
Another case where the calorie numbers work just fine and yet something in what I ate (not salt - I was looking out for that) got the inflammation going again. Such an adventure. Sigh. Back to the food diary again to try to figure it out.

Hey guys...I popped in to report that even though I haven't been active on this latest take 5-10 thread, I did take my vow to lose the last 10 seriously. It took me a couple months, but I'm happy to report that last 10 pounds are officially gone...just in time for Turkey day! The scale was at a sweet 143 this morning and I celebrated by staying POP, (and dressing up for Church in a knock down gorgeous new outfit I bought in Lincoln yesterday!)
Oh, I'm scared to death now. I actually have to start a real maintaince plan now...I can't just keep changing to a lower goal weight. I've been doing some SERIOUS clothes shopping the last few weeks and there is NO WAY I can afford to buy smaller clothes...or bigger clothes. (I need to stop buying clothes period for awhile! ) Anyway, I just needed to tell someone. I hope everyone else is working hard at it too!

Wow, great job Lori Bell!!! You are always such an inspiration to me, I've been maintaining for almost 5 mo. now and it seems so long! I think it's harder to maintain than to lose weight, but i have accepted that I will be watching what i eat, counting calories and exercising forever to keep it off! It's worth it!

Good morning everyone!
Well, I'm now officially five pounds over where I'm comfortable. Seven pounds over where I would like to be. Have to be POP this week so I can start the holidays on a better foot. I'm hoping you guys will inspire me to stop the spiral of the last week.
 good day everyone!

Great job Lori!
Midwife, I always thought that it was weird to have Nanowrimo in November since it is such a busy time of year. I've never participated but I always wanted to.
Silver, my scale is back at 141 today, but I only count Saturdays as my "official" weigh-in.
It's only 5 days until my 4-year maintenance anniversary. Last year I weighed 142, and 138 the year before. It would be nice to be under 142 this year but with Thanksgiving water weight I'm not sure.
Thanksgiving week everyone!!! Who's cooking??? NO BLT'S!

paperclippy - do I see that date right, and you hit goal the day after Thanksgiving 4 years ago? AFTER Thanksgiving??? You are absolutely a role model!
No cooking here - we are traveling an hour to the inlaws. Turkey will be overcooked, all the veggies except the salad will be sweetened, and dessert is consistently pie. I fully expect to be eating white meat with a smidge of gravy to moisten it up, maybe a smear of mashed potatoes, at least a half plate of tossed salad, and possibly a bit of corn (this woman puts SUGAR in sweet corn!!!!). I'm not even going to bother to be polite about pie. I don't like pie, and I ain't gonna eat it. Bigger challenge is to avoid drinking to numb the political conversation.

ICU, it was the Monday after Thanksgiving that year. I was pretty surprised that I hit goal then! Sucks about the inlaws cooking. Who puts sugar in corn???
