All bones are intact, so I just have to wait until I have range of motion back before the sling can come off. Meantime, no bouncing or lifting with that arm. So my exercise today will be moderate and modified (some walking and some stepping (not hopping) up and down on my step, plus LB strength I can do without holding weights, and some abs I can do without laying on it). It HURTS, though (almost like when you're in a car accident and one part gets hit, and then two days later that part KILLS and the rest of you is sore and whiplashed? Like that). Lots of ice, and painkillers to sleep until I can comfortably lay down without them, but no permanent damage expected! She thinks it'll take about a week to feel better.
Tomorrow and Sunday I'm walking in Relay for Life...it'll be slow walking, but since I'm laid up I intend to get as many shifts as I can handle so I can get some extra fitness in. My goal is to not blow any calories burned away with all of the food we're bringing (especially in that brutal overnight stretch). It's 24 hours straight of walking...craziness! But we raised lots of money in honor of my aunt who passed away, so that's good.
Today's plan:
B - Greek yogurt w/ strawberries, 1 tbsp lowfat granola
S - Honeydew melon
L - Leftovers - Trimmed pork chops cooked in chunky tomato balsamic sauce, over polenta, with a side of green beans
S - Mini bagel w/ light cheese and pizza sauce
S - Popcorn
D - Grilled chicken skewer, potato wedges, roasted asparagus
S - NSA Ice Cream, Strawberries
E - 45 min on step (gentle), 15 min walk to store, 45 min LB/abs
