I'm not going to sit here and say just ignore her, shes jealous yada yada yada, I would have been so pissed. It would have been so hard to stop myself from just smacking her lol. Well not literally, but I would have told her off. I hate comments about weight. Weather there good or bad. I just dont think it's somthing to talk about.

I think that if someone called me a skinny b* I would hug them. I could care less how they meant it. Then again, being called that by my close friends doesn't offend me at all, it's more of a joke we have.

As far as the thinner/older face goes, I remember someone here posting (I'm sorry I can't remember who it was) about that several months ago. I think about it a lot as my face is thinning out and I do think I look a little older than I did. - It was something like "My face did look younger when I was heavier but I seriously doubt that when I walked by everyone was thinking, 'Wow! She sure does look YOUNG!'"

It's been fun reading this thread. I can't help wondering if people think they have the right to make any old comment because of all the reality tv shows, like the biggest loser. We sit and watch incredibly intimate moments on tv all the time and here them discussed and discuss them ourselves. I kind of think people carry that into their personal lives where it is inappropriate.

What drives me mad is when I share about my weight loss (40 pounds so far) and people start telling me what I should do to lose weight. I'm like......hello....I've been doing it without your advice for almost a year now, I think I have it down. It drives me mad. I usually say something smart in reply to shut them down. Seriously, did I ask for their advice? No. Have I lost 40 pounds without it? Yes. So sush already!

Every time I drop weight, I text the new weight to my best friend. Her reply is always 'skinny b***'. She's 100% supportive, so it's said with love. If I fit into a new size or something, from time to time I'll call her and start out with "Guess who's a skinny b***" and of course I'm referring to me. I would think it depends on who it is coming from, but for me, it's a compliment.

And I love the response ""What a terribly inappropriate thing to say. You must be so embarrassed!"" I am gonna have to keep that one up my sleeve for future use. I laughed aloud when I read it. Thanks for sharing!
