I am having a huge struggle with "all or nothing" thinking - its a particular problem of my body and I'm so frustrated. If I eat ANYTHING refined - ANYTHING - I retain about a gazillion (ok, 3-4) lbs or water. That applies whether I use moderation and keep my calories in check or not. So the effect on the scale the next day (and quiet, you smarties, about how the next day isn't the end all be all...I'm AWARE, but my brain appears to be lagging) is the same. Meaning I start thinking things like "Amanda, you already had a brownie and your scale is going to be SCREWED tomorrow - its on, now". Soooo destructive.

Moving on, today is screwed up due to family fondue night. Tried to get them to let me cook so we could do broth-based shabu-shabu. No - oil all the way. Also cheese and chocolate. And wine.

And I want to see my family, but I don't really want all that junk, especially considering yesterday's sugar situation. I don't know what I'm going to do at this point - probably just try to eat very little.
