Angie had the same problem with me kind of, although I wasn't overweight much, maybe a couple of pounds, I was always eating crappy foods. she never complained...she found ways to let me know she didn't care for it for the family....she just continued to set a good example until I caught on. I was a smoker when we met, 11 years non-smoker now, she never made me quit but she found little ways to make it more difficult for me...like where I could...it got down to my bathroom in the house and outside. But she always stressed she wanted me to be healthy so I could live a long time with her

Continue to set the example, all the while remembering it is up to him to take care of his own issues....we have enough problems dealing with our own

EDIT ~ I did get overweight eventually from eating too much and beer...beer...beer!.. When we met, I was a non-drinker.
