Yay you Junebug for getting a handle on things before they get even worse. I wish I had had the sense that you do when I was a newlywed! I might not have had to pick a screen name like *yoyodieter*

Another reason why 3FC is a godsend- all the "freaks of nature" who gained weight before their weddings all have a place to go ... to LOSE IT!

Thumbs up Getting DH on board

That was the hardest thing for me. Sitting there on the weekend and watching DH tuck into the ice cream and wine while I had diet soda and yogurt or fruit. Bleagh!

Now that he is much more determined to take off the 40 odd lbs. he's gained over the last 4 years it makes it so much easier for me to stick to the plan.

And I think everyone in the universe has undone several weeks work in a weekend. Stuff happens. The trick is to only do this one weekend every few months.

Go Junebug!

When I get frustrated with slow progress, or that it's taking too long, I ask myself what else would I be doing? Five pounds a month is five pounds. Where would I be in a month if I didn't do it?? So, might as well, even if it is slow.

Hang in there!

Congrats on your wedding BTW.

I too, gained before my wedding. A co-worker of mine told me to stop eating so much or I'd be miserable. I did slow down, but still gained weight.
