Smile 5 Things You're Happy About Today

1. I have my cooking class tonight -- which I absolutely love!

2. It's April, one of my favorite months.

3. I just bought two pairs of really cute shorts -- one is jean, one is khaki. Both are adorable and a size 6. (Can't believe I can wear a size 6!? Doesn't seem real.)

4. My parents have been out of town and are coming back tonight -- I'll be happy to see them.

5. This is the first time in my life where I feel really GOOD about my body and excited to show it off a bit for summer. Well, last summer was like that, cause I had been losing, but this summer will be even more exciting! I'm at goal!!

I’m not officially a maintainer yet, but I keep plugging along and I’m sure I can think of 5 things:
  1. I finally broke a 4-week plateau!
  2. I’ve been adhering to my "new" lifestyle changes for 14 months (longest ever in my adult life).
  3. My blood pressure readings have been excellent recently.
  4. I recently re-connected with some friends I haven’t seen in several years.
  5. I’ll be heading north for the summer soon and will be getting together with the friends mentioned in #4 along with family and other friends.
Bonus: I'm ALWAYS happy when I can come to 3FC and get inspired, motivated, and informed.

Nineteen, where do you take your cooking classes? Are they basic (like cooking 101) or more advanced? I hadn't heard about such classes but they sound very interesting.

Mary~ Congrats on breaking your plateau and sticking to all the healthy changes you've made!

The cooking class I'm taking is at Whole Foods. They call it the Kitchen Bootcamp Series and it's 6 classes that cover different cooking techniques each week, e.g. grilling and roasting, poaching and steaming, braising and stewing, etc.

I'm so lucky to have it available to me -- I've learned a lot and it's been a blast. I'm trying to find more cooking classes in my area.

I hope you can find some, too!
