Default Happy to gain a few pounds back?? Yikes!!!

Has anyone had an experience where you haven't minded gaining a few pounds back? I've gained a few pounds since about 6 months ago, and I'm wondering if I'm seeing a few positives of gaining the weight back. I was about 119 for a while, but since around the beginning of this year, I've been averaging about 122. My weight is currently what it was a little more than 1 1/2 years ago prior to getting down to 118-119.

Some of the things that I think I have noticed are that I'm not quite as cold while at work, my butt looks better, and overall, I think I look and feel healthier. I didn't realize that 3 pounds could make such a difference.

It's been a little challenging on a subconscious level to get over not seeing the "teens" on the scale anymore, but I'm also not trying to lose weight. I'm trying to not be focused on the number, and more about how I look/feel. My only concern is that I don't slowly go continuously up in weight, and find myself 10 or 15 pounds heavier before I realize what happened. In the back of my mind (though it doesn't make sense) I wonder if I'm being complacent and making "after the fact" excuses to be lazy with staying on track. Craziness! However, I know maintaining requires some vigilance!

What do you guys think?

what you feel healthiest at and look best at are both factors. It sounds like 122 may be a better weight for you. Trust your body- don't worry about the scale.

I think if you are feeling more comfortable and like the way you look, there's nothing wrong with it. You're still at a healthy weight for your height. If you're worried about creeping up further, you could set a red line somewhere, and if you reach the red line then you aren't allowed to gain any more.

It's quite possible that 118-119 was just too low of a weight for your body frame. What's important is how you feel, not just the number on the scale!

I say trust your body, sounds like 122 is just right for you. Do you weigh every day? That is the best way to catch those pounds as they start creeping up on you.
