Just thought it might give a laugh to someone who needs it, this was my "bonehead" moment this morning:
I went into the kitchen to do something, but it was a disaster from my husband's foray into cooking last night. So I cleaned the whole mess, made breakfast for my kids, ran the dishwasher, got things set up for the day, then finally remembered what I went into the kitchen for in the very first place....
thats funny! I usually get the "why am I here"? I spend 30 minutes trying to backtrack to remember what I was doing beforehand, the next thing I know I walk back in, remember what I forgot, but forget what I came back in for.
I just saw some article not too long ago about why you go into another room and then forget about why you went there: the explanation was that when you pass through doors, your mind is, like, programmed to write THE END to what you did in room A and then start a new mental ledger for what you're doing in B
