I got on the scale today and got a total shock at the number. At home I always weigh wearing my PJs, but at doctors and hospitals I take off my shoes and any outdoor jacket and get on wearing my favourite giant football top. It takes me some effort to get out of clothing with my mobility so I've never compared, but for some reason decided to re-weigh without my top today and lo and behold my top weighs nearly three pounds!! Next time I weigh in anywhere I'm gonna ask for help getting my top off.
my jacket and sweater weight 5 lbs... My doc usually takes off a few lbs depending on what I'm wearing...
I weigh naked at home in the AM. I then weigh myself with the clothes on that I'll have on at the Dr's office so I know what they weigh. Then I can subtract that amount from what the doctor's scale says I weigh. That said, it really doesn't matter, does it? Mark your progress using the same scale and wearing the same clothes. You will have an accurate record of weight loss that way. Your actual weight might be off a pound or 2 from one scale to another. Such a small amount really doesn't matter in the big scheme of things.
