Default Jillian Michaels Diet...or some direction...

Has anyone else tried this yet? I would really like to hear someone's opinion on it...I've been thinking about signing up for it, but am somewhat skeptical since I've tried everything else under the sun and no such luck. I signed up for ediets, and found it wasn't exactly what I'd been looking for, and when I went to cancel, they said there was a 3 months minimum and they would have to charge me an early cancellation fee...I mean what the @&%? Oh, well, more well earned money down the toilet...grrrr...

Hope someone has some good advice, cause I'm at my wits end here

Carrie

Hi Carrie,
I was checking into that this evening because I clicked on the banner. It looks like it's a basic plan certain % of carbs, certain % protein and certain % of fat. When I did the free profile mine showed 40% carbs/30 %protein/30% fat. I know that this plan will have a lot of exercise so that is one of the things that you would have to want to participate in.
I thought about checking into it because I have been floundering around trying to figure out what I want to do. (other than getting bigger and bigger!) I clicked on it and it says that it's $4 a week BUT they charge you for many weeks in advance so I think it was like $52.00 to sign up and every 13 weeks another $52.00. Sorry I am not more help.
Hope you find what works....I am searching too!

Have you tried calorie counting? It is free, and it seems like a lot of people here have had success on that and have achieved maintenance.

Carrie - I highly recommend her book. Winning by Losing. I have been following the exercise plan for almost a year with great results. I don't follow the diet per se, but know I am eating very close to it. I just came to it via the suggestions of Body for Life - with some modification in that I eat 4 small meals a day instead of 6. I found the book most excellent in the first 3 chapters especially when she is motivational about the reasons for dieting and exercising. Having been a professional dieter forever (sigh) this book was one that seemed to introduce some new and motivating concepts. I receive her free daily e-mail and I enjoy that a lot as well, it often contains just the message I need to think about.
