We didn't do anything special for Labor day. My husband works at a casino in security, so he just gets to Labor a little harder on labor day!!! I went to the gym for a little while. I stayed on plan, so I'm happy about that!!!

I go for my weigh in tommorow, since the center was closed today. I think I'll do okay. The scale at the gym showed a loss, but I try to only concentrate on what the one at the center says. However according to the scale at the gym I should be at the half way point to the goal I set at LA!!!!

I'll check in again tommorow after my weigh in. We are doing GREAT ladies!!!!!

Starting Weight 232.5
Current Weight 208
Goal HOTTIE

Good morning all!

If I get off work in time today I am going to weigh in. Otherwise, it may be tomorrow. I am almost out of supplements and I am trying to decide if I should get more. I tried them for a month and I am thinking of trying to go without for a month and see how I do. I will still take my own One-A-Day and Calcium tablets though.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Take care--

Well, I lost 1 lb this past week. I weighed in today. I was glad even though it was 1 lb. I didn't gain. I am getting there.

Hope everyone else has a good week.

Default Sending Good Vibes!

HI Everyone!!!

Jibbelle, At least the scale didn't go up!!! That's always a good thing. I know by your next weigh in it will go down!

Lorrie: Congrats on the loss!!! "weigh" to go!!!

Marcie: You've got this job! I just know it!! Good Luck and PLEASE let us know how it goes!!!

I weighed in this morning and I'm down since Friday!!! WHOOO HOOOOO!!!!

In other good news! I got a promotion!!! I have been working part time, just on the weekends in a little store. They are opening another store Friday, which I knew I would be going to. Well I dropped in today to talk to my manager about getting more hours when the other store opened. The district manager happened to be there, and she offered me a keyholder position!!! So not only will it be more hours, it will be more money!! We really need it. We've got four kids, the oldest just celebrated his birthdy in August, the other three have their birthdays between now and the end of the year. (two in December!!!!) So between the birthdays, Christmas, back to school, and everything, I knew we were going to have some tight times ahead of us, and things are already soooo tight!! This job helps us see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I hope everyone else's day went as well!!!

Current Weight 205.5

Lorrie & Sue, Congrats on your weight loss. You ladies are

And Sue, A promotion.. that is great news! I'm sure that you deserved it Hard work pays off.

Jibbelle, don't be discouraged by no loss for the week. Your diet will pay off & hopefully you will see a drop real soon.

Well, I guess that I will go weigh-in tomorrow. Have an appointment in P'cola Sat, so I thought that I would go weigh-in that day too, since I'd already be in town. Trying to cut back on a few miles... & calories, too! Wish me luck.

Default recipe

Hey Ladies,

I haven't tried it yet, but I wanted to share a recipe with you... that should fit the plan.

TOAST CUPS

1 slice fresh diet bread (wheat or white) for each cup
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray (or your allowed diet margarine)

Cut bread slice into 2" diameter rounds. Roll rounds flat with rolling pin. Spray muffin tin with no calorie butter spray. Fit bread rounds into cup.

You may opt to spray (or brush margarine)inside of bread cup.

I'm not sure, but may need to put a small amt of water in empty muffin cups... or fill all muffin cups, make additional bread cups for family or guests.

Bake at 375 for 10 to 15 minutes.

Remove from muffin tins immediately.

I thought that these would be a great way to enjoy something a little different... your allowed starch. They could be filled with either a chicken salad, tuna salad, shrimp salad, grilled or steamed veggies. It would also dress up your dish... great for you or guest.

let me know if you try it, & what you fill your toast cup with and how you like it.

Another idea, may be to fill the bread cup with an allowed filling, such as a hot chicken salad, prior to baking.

Enjoy,
Nancy

Jibbelle, my kids are Philip (9 this past August!) Erin (six in October) Vivian (2 1-2, three December 29th) and Gabrielle (nine months, 1 December 4th) I know I have my hands full! But I love it!!!! I don't know how we managed to have all four with birthdays in the last 4 months of the year. We must be insane!!!! But I did better then my mother! She had three, and all our birthdays are in the same six week period!!

Today has been good so far (of course it's only about 11am here!!) I've been on plan and even went to the gym for a kickboxing class. I start full time hours on Friday, so my oppourtunities to go the gym will be more limited, and my exposure to off plan snacks will increase. (the people I work with LOVE to bring in goodies for everyone) So wish me luck!! I'll need it!!!

Nancy, thanks for the recipe...that sounds yummy. I think I'm going to try to make an on plan version of a chicken pie with it! I'm trying to get more creative with my cooking, mainly for the kids. I think I'd be okay eating the same thing everyday, but they get bored, and that would be an ideal use for leftover chicken. Add some chicken and veggies. My husband is the "leftover" king, and he has been great at giving the kids some interesting alternatives to my on plan food. (he'll take leftover chicken or steak, or even veal and pork chops, whatever meat is leftover, mix it with rice a roni or mac and cheese(not on plan for me, so I miss out on these things ) throw in some veggies and call it chicken, steak, veal, pork chop (whatever the meat is that night) surprise! THEY love it, and it takes care of leftovers, and they aren't always stuck eating only what mommy can have.

I can't remember if I posted this before, but this would probably also be good for those of us with kids who miss their chicken mcnuggets! AT the center they posted a recipe for chicken nuggets that is on plan. You take boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut it up into small bitesize peices...coat it lightly with plain yogurt. Crush up your melba toast and put it in a plastic bag (ala shake and bake) and coat the chicken with the melba toast. I believe you bake it at 375 for about 15 minutes. We did that the night before school started for our "back to school celebration dinner and the kids LOVED it!!!

Marcie: I'll be checking back later to see how your interview with. I'm sending you good vibes though!!! Good Luck, and remember we are all here rooting for you!!!

I've got a "workout" ahead of me. I'm cleaning my house from top to bottom today!!

Hi everyone:
I hope everyone doesn't mind me joining in.
I joined LA weightloss for the second time in April and I am finding this time I am looking foward to finally reaching my goal.
I am just about half way there and getting a little anxious.
I find at this point I can't cheat all that much and I feel I always
a bit edgy. My mother also joined and I see her cheating and it drives me nuts sometimes, She says she will still lose weight and she probably does. I want to support her but sometimes it is hard I kind of avoid the subject.
