I know someone found the Red Plan info somewhere before, but I can't remember where. I know no one wants to give it away for free and I do understand that. I have paid for LAWL for myself and it worked great. Now DH wants to do it, but we can't pay for both of us right now.
I did look on Ebay for it, but didn't see any. I was on Gold to begin with and have now been on Blue and moved to stabilization, so I don't know what the red portions are to help him out.
Sheila, I don't have a spare red book, but here is the rule
Meats, you get 2 more oz of all the meat measured in oz.
EX- beef, 6oz raw; chicken 8 oz raw
Peanut butter- 3 tbsp is 1 protein
Egg-3 egg=1 protein
2soy burgers or 2 soy hot dogs =1 protein
Cheese 4 oz=1 protein
Beans=2 cups as 1 Protein
Ricotta=5 oz as 1 protein
I think everything else stays the same, but I may be wrong. I'm thinking only the proteins differ, though.
Good luck with your Dh and keep us posted on his progress, too!
Any other proteins you need amounts for? Those are the ones I use the most, but I'd be glad to look up stuff he may eat that I don't.
Ha ha i hear that... well another on plan day..woo hoo.. so tough when DH is eating ice cream at nite and I am eating veg juice as soup.. if you need more red plan info I can email you what I have so far... not sure if it is all.. but it is a start.. PM me.. bye! Kim
I asked this ? elsewhere, but maybe someone on this thread knows why on the red plan, they tell me not to eat vegetarian proteins and meat proteins on the same day? Its absurd considering the LA Lites are soy protein...I am so confused. I CANNOT eat 20 oz. of meat in a day. BLECH!
I very often have peanut butter on toast in the morni ng or a veggie burger on a 4" wheat pita (this has become my favorite).
I was told not to mix my protein at any one meal - they didn't like it when I made a bbq chicken salad and used 1/2 Protein of chicken and 1/2 protein of black beans - but I've never been told not in the same day.
I have been mixing dairies (4 oz n/f yogurt every morning; 1 oz lite cheese every evening) since the beginning. Finally, one of the counselors told me the other day "You're not supposed to do that." I then said, "Well, I have been doing this for 13 weeks, and in 13 weeks, I have lost 52 lbs. I don't think I'll be changing anything." She said, "Oh, I understand, I just wanted you to be aware that we don't recommend it."
