how well is it working for you?
Hi,
I just joined LAWL, and am starting take off tomorrow. I was just wondering how well it is working for everyone, and what the actual success is... I know they "guarantee" 2 lbs per week, but I was just curious how well that is true to form? I want to lose 35 lbs, and they said I could do it by August. Not sure how true that is, but am willing to give it a 100%... Any helpful tricks are appreciated!
Thanks

Hi, and
I did my TO March 9&10, and am down 11 pounds so far. It does work, but like any other program, you have to want it. There will be ups and downs, and this board has been awesome for support!

Welcome. I joined LAWL March 23 and as of Friday I've lost 11 pounds so far. I am curious to see the other responses to see how others are doing, too. I really like this program. It is very easy and it has structure which I need. I know exactly what I can eat (2P 2S 3F 3V 1D 1Fa 2Lites--you'll learn about this after Take-off if you don't know about this already. Good luch with your program.

DH and I started 12-30-05 (13 ish weeks) and he's lost 30 and I've lost 23 as of last Monday. It's a great program--but you have to prepare. I really like the structure and accountability. Don't get wrapped up in the 2 pounds/week thing or you will get disappointed though, sometimes you do and sometimes you don't--too many factors. I am "averaging" 1.8 right now. The closer I get to goal the slower it goes--as long as it goes. Can't begin to tell you how much better we look and FEEL. We think of food in a totally different way now, and our kids will benefit from our new thinking. Good Luck--you've found the right place.

It's working for me - I joined Jan 31 and have lost nearly 20 lbs - hope to see that at weigh in (WI) tomorrow. Like was said, it will work if you really want it to. It's full of structure and accountability. Sometimes it won't be easy, but it will be worth it, and this board is a super support mechanism.
Jump on over to the April Friends and Losers thread - lots of chatter and helpful advice. We are all going through the same thing!

I think we go to the same LAWL... On Gage, by Costco? I live in Oregon, right by the border.... Crazy, huh? Maybe I'll see you some time at weigh in!

Does it work? Maybe not for everyone, but it works GREAT for me! As of Friday I had been on the plan for exactly 10 weeks, and had lost 41 lbs! It is going great for me!
As for the 2 lb per week thing, I think it varies. For me, I am averaging more than 4 lbs per week. I had a really strong start, which helps. These days, after 10 weeks, I average 2-3 lbs per week.
Good luck!

Heather, I collect smilies I think are cool and save them to my website, then hotlink to them on here - it's called bandwidth stealing, but I figure since it's MY bandwidth, it doesn't matter!
