I wrote a thread to introduce myself but I will do it here again. I started LAWL on May 29th. I have lost 7 lbs so far and am really excited. I hope this really works. I have been trying to lose weight for the past year and just havn't gotten anywhere. I lost a lot of weight with Weight Watchers a couple years ago but then I got pregnant and it all came back and then some.

The COD has me on the gold plan with a modification. I am lactose intolerant and do not like soy milk so I get an extra veggie and fruit.

I am looking forward to chatting about our progress.

Winkie--I am on Gold and get what you do---I think the difference is portion size on the proteins (Gold is less ounces). Someone will clarify.

Yep--compared to 6 & 8 oz. respectively on Purple. They also added an extra half protein to my plan and sometimes I get it in and sometimes not. Usually an egg or string cheese here and there.

It's easy to get confused--with the centers' inconsistency and then all the different programs discussed here.--Glad we can all help each other.

Hi everyone! I'm Erin. I'm 31. I live in HOT & sunny AZ! I am a newbie to LAWL. I really enjoy reading the boards and really like how supportive you all are to each other. It certainly helps to have friends, doesn't it? Anyways, I have 2 beautiful children: my daughter is 3, my son is 14 months tomorrow. Wow, how time flies! I gained 60 lbs. with each of my kiddos. I got as high as 245, both times! I have been following LAWL since May 30, right after Memorial weekend. I have lost 4.5 lbs. since then and really like this program. I certainly feel that I can eat this way forever. I, today, am finally back to my pre-pregnancy weight...HOORAY!...after 14 months. I am setting my goal weight at 155, my wedding weight. I look forward to chatting with you all. You certainly are a great group!!! Boo's Mom has been a huge help to me as I have recently changed my plan from Red to Gold. (I am doing it on my own).

Erin

Boo's Mom: I didn't realize that Gold gets less protein...so just to clarify it's 4oz. beef or 6oz. chicken=1 protein, right?

Alright, my turn.
Hey guys, I'm Cassy, actually its Cassidy, but thats a boy name, I like Cassy better.
I'm from tornado country, AKA Alabama. I recently turned 18 as of March 24th, and I started LAWL on Friday, June 10th.
So far i've lost 3.5lbs,and i'm pleased.

Me and my boyfriend, Jeromy, live with my parents who so lovingly provided the money for me to start LAWL. They also provided the money for the treadmil that sits in the middle room.
I love LAWL, I think I can eat this way forever as well, its very easy to follow, and it works, as far as I can tell. (Oooh I rhymed)

From what i've read, you guys like LAWL too, most of you anyways and you guys are really nice to each other. I'll have you know, i'm cooky and I have a weird sense of humor, but I'm really very nice =)

Hope to get to know all of you <3

Erin--yep--those are the weights--pre-cooked. Subtract 1 oz. for cooked weight.

Welcome Cassy--I think most of us know ourselves well enough to know that we will have to eat something like this for the rest of our lives or the weight will come right back--me for sure. You are lucky--you've found out early in life and obviously have a support system at home which will really help during difficult times. Good Luck!
