Nicole-I know what you mean about working out and then having to shower again, etc. I wish I could turn myself into a morning exerciser. But I know it won't happen. I just need to do it every evening and stop getting side-tracked by "more important" things . .

Juliemarie - Thanks for that info. I'll definitely get some B-complex.

I'll have to make sure that I take my iron pills as described and not falter. I have to take them twice a day to build my iron levels back up. I'm supposed to do this for three months and all should be well. I don't think I've done it for three months yet. I'm consistent and then we end up going away and i've forgotten them and, when I get back home, things are crazy and I don't seem to fall back into routine. then I eventually start over.
I've got to be solid this time.... and take the B-complex as well.

I totally know what you are going through. My sister has to go for iron infusions regularily. It seems like she goes once a month but maybe it's every other month!
They (specialists) cannot figure out why her levels are not up. In fact, she was once told that they don't understand how she is up and manages all the things she does! She should be extremely lethargic. I think her body has adapted because you can't stop life.

Just as my body has adapted. But I am starting to feel strange symptoms that are scaring me into making sure I take my pills properly!

I was a little taken aback today. I spent the day cleaning up and taking it easy. I even rested for an hour during the day... something unheard of for me.
It's TOM again. I'm really worried. I just got over TOM a week ago! I don't know what's going on! I thought I would wait it out and see what exactly is going on before I consult my doctor.... I wanted to monitor the issue.

As I've said before, I had a very unusual period last time and suffered symptoms I never had before and I've been feeling different since TOM finished.
I'm going to have to do a little more research as well. I read that this could be due to stress, pre-menopause and a host of other things.

Anyways.... I didn't even weigh myself (again, not common) as I was a little freaked when I realized that TOM has come around again.

@Nicole: good for you for being POP. Keep up the good work!

Shy-as if once a month isn't bad enough right? We had a health fair and this acupuncturist/Chinese naturpath (sp?) listened to my pulse, looked in my mouth and concluded that I'm premenopausal. I sure hope he isn't right-i'm only 41!

Hey-one good thing about TOM is that your basal metabolism is increased!

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Nicole-WTG! Keep it up! I've been doing pretty well foodwise except for last night when we went to McDonald's for dinner for McTeacher night (fundraiser). I wasn't really that bad. Had a snackwrap and a few fries. . ..

I didn't weigh myself this morning.
I literally woke up, changed, made the kids lunches and ran out the door with DD1 to drop her to school. I had to go to a store in the area of her school for DD2... luckily it was open early so I could get the final touches on her project done and then dropped it off at her school before 9am. It is due today!
DH made sure she was dressed and out the door to catch her bus and then drove DS to his bus stop!

Busy morning but everything I had to do is done. Ah.... the peace.

Today is apparently going to be a little mild so I plan on cutting down my ornamental grasses and ditching the last of the fall flowers. Then I'll give the garage a clean and have it winter ready.

Juliemarie.... could you imagine if life were having a period ALL the time and then having 3-7 days off?? If the process were backwards? Agh... that's depressing.

Strangely, TOM only lasted two days. It's over again....
I'm making notes of all that is going on and, if things should turn upside down again, then I'll make an appointment with my doctor and have the notes ready!

My SIL was one of those 'rare' people who hit menopause at 33! She was done before she hit the 40's! Can you believe it???

It just goes to show how we are all different and the big "M" can strike at any time!

148.0 lbs!
I'm not even trying... I've fallen off of the proverbial wagon for quite some time now.
Not bad that I'm 'maintaining' this weight but.... this isn't the weight I'm trying to maintain! lol

I've got to get back on that wagon! I'm starting to feel better and stronger by the day. Hopefully that will be soon and I can shock my body back into losing weight.
Ahh... I was doing so well until I had to go to the states for my Thanksgiving!
oh well... that was the past and I only need to look at the present and see what I can do now to shape my future!

How are you guys doing?

The scale is slowly staring to tip back up... I'd better do something NOW before I hit 150! Ouch. I don't want to go there again.

How is the weight coming off? @Juliemarie and @Nicole?
I'll bet you guys are just shedding it off! Way to go!
I hope I can catch the 'bug' soon. I was there but then I had a misstep and I can't seem to get back there again.
Hopefully soon.

Hmmm.... interesting.
When i went to sleep last night, after coming home late after a day of going out of town, I knew I had to get up, make the kids lunches, send them on their way and then get cracking with cooking and cleaning! DH's childhood friend is in town for the evening and is sleeping over. I normally would have cleaned up yesterday but we had to go out of town.

So... this morning, I slept in! Wow. I couldn't believe it! I never do that... and of all days!!!

I'm taking a break to have a cup of tea. I've finished cooking but have only done half the cleaning. I knew I had lots of time as our company is due to drop by around 5pm. Well.... DH just got off the phone a while ago and, it appears that our guest is bringing another guest with him... another childhood buddy! Great!
I have to rethink the sleeping arrangements, go and get more food, (do shopping) and, to top it all off, Mondays are my worst days. I'm usually running around dropping and picking up kids from their activities and i don't get in until around 8"15pm.
When am I going to feed these people?
I'm usually feeding one child and then dropping her off and then feeding another child and then dropping him off. i also try to feed the other child and DH and then run out the door! I eat when all is calm late at night, sometimes by myself or sometimes with DD1!
Crazy
So... how's your Monday going?

Oh... I forgot to mention that they are now coming at 2pm! Friend #1 is going to drop off Friend #2 and then go off and do what he has to get done.
Aaaghhh!!!!

Shy-I'd be happy to maintain at your weight! I had a weekend of poor food choices-and discovered a food that cannot be in my house or I will eat it. Pop tarts. Ugh. My daughter had never shown any interest in them-and when she asked for them at the store, I let her get them. Not again.

Busy week this week-had a good food day today. Just need to keep it going. .. .

And methinks hubby should be feeding and entertaining his guests!

Juliemarie: Thankfully, I never really got into pop tarts!
it's a bittersweet moment for you though... you now know NOT to bring them into your house but, your daughter will be sad about that decision
One can never win!

I'm so tired this morning. I'm dressed, I've had breakfast, my guests are gone.... but I'm soooooo tired. I may have done too much yesterday.
The plus side is that my house is clean and it's so nice to move around it and see the clutter-less benches, landings etc. Ah... the peace!

I do, however, still have to deal with a mountain of laundry. The clothes are washed but need to be put away or ironed etc. This will keep me busy until I have to go get DD1 from school.
Truth be told, this will keep me busy for the next few days.... there's that much to sort through. And while I'm at it, I might as well go through items that don't fit or are wornout looking.

How are you guys doing?

Hey Ladies!
How's it going?
I've been so busy the last few days. I've been jumping into little projects as soon as the kids are out in the morning! Then one project leads me to another and, before you know it, your day is done. Then my evenings are usually spent with the kids.... making sure homework is done, running out for last minute errands... you know, the usual stuff.

Funny thing is that i haven't even weighed myself for two days! This is not normal for me. Maybe that's why I haven't posted anything for two days? Because I don't know my weight and, therefore, don't think to post??

Anyways... before I run off to make a quick supper, I thought that I would just pop in to say hello and see what's new.

Ouch... 149. lbs!
I don't want to see that number go up to 150 again! I need to do something. Seriously.... no need talking about the weight I'm gaining/maintaining if I'm not doing anything about it!

Weekends are hard for me so I think I will make Monday my day for jump-starting this thing again!
I will, however, try my best to start limiting myself on the weekend so I don't have to go cold turkey!

How are you all doing?

I don't think I will make my TG day goal, but I am at 202.2, and I am thrilled. I won't officially change my ticker until Monday, my WI day, but I have been around 202 for several days. It is really going to help me stay on track I hope. I even had to make two cakes for my son's football banquet...and I had the tiniest little tastes of each one...but that is it. I also avoided over eating at the banquet. I had a very small amount of mostaccioli and some fresh fruit. That was it. I know...I am totally killing it!!! I have been very much OP for several weeks and I feel like I am gaining some momentum. I haven't been exercising, but I will get there. BAby steps.
