Took so long to find the postings, I don't have time to write....HAHA

Jillian - can't believe you cut off those beautiful locks....but you still look gorgeous....did you lose any weight be doing this???? LOL. My niece did something similar a couple years ago and I swear her hair looks 10 times better now...

Arkantana - love the line about the intoxicated guy...too funny.

Erin - "WEIGH" to go on the 20 lbs loss mark.

I've been working out four days a week and weight loss is slow. What else is new. It's the carbs that are killing me...the bad carbs...they keep calling me. Anyone have a big secret to share about how I can just stop eating them....I quit (cold turkey) diet coke over two months ago and even though it was hard, I did it cause I know how bad it is for me. So, I'm apparently capable of doing some things and not others. Guess I'm only human.

Nicole...hi!

Gotta go back to work (yes, it's 9 PM and I'm still working...but needed a little break). Hope to find you next time I come back.

hey everyone. This three threads thing for one week is interesting I must say but I figured I would post here.

Got a job offer today. It's one of the ones I interviewed for last Thursday. Its only term for 9ish months or so but for now it'll get me out of the house and supplement my unemployment a bit until I can find something better. After 4.5 months here at home I am starting to go a bit stir crazy. Its your basic 9-5 monday to friday so its easy that way. And it'll give me something else to put on my resume so I don't have a big gap in it for no work. Its working the office at a self storage business. basically running the day to day operations and such. I have to call them back tomorrow morning to accept the job and I start Monday bright and early.

Thats about it for my news this week. Things are still going well with the new man for those of you who knew he existed LOL. So all in all things are finally starting to look a little brighter around here after several years. It's kinda nice to actually smile quite a bit again!

I am weighing tomorrow morning too so hopefully that'll show a bit of a loss and I'll be three for three in the last couple of weeks!

Alannah - Great news on the job! I know what you mean about being home - I was home for about 2.5 months once and I though I would lose my mind. DH knew I was in bad shape when he asked me what I was going to do that day and I told him "Well, it's Thursday - that's the day that I clean the kitchen floor".

Barb - deep down I know that this needs to be for the long term. I am seeing some improvements in ability, stamina, and flexibility - so I am happy about that. It's been about 2.5 weeks back full-on. School starts next week, so I'll be dropping one evening, I may add in a morning workout one day to make up for it.

Arkantana - Too funny! DH works in our county office building and one day he overheard one of the custodians saying that his supervisor told him to go clean up some $hit in the hallway and "it was actually real $hit!". Gotta love working in a public building.

Morning all,
It's snowing still this morning and it took me a while to get to work since the roads are so bad. I miss the south on these days. There would be no school or work, just chillin at home.

Dh got really intersted in the diet and started TO today. He was going to start yesterday but he remembered that Tuesday's were pizza buffet day Nuff said

Day 2 of TO the second time around. It sucks but I love the results.

Hope everyone is having a good morning.

Morning everyone! I wondered what happened to our site, thanks for the info Nicole.
Amy M- You inspired me this morning with how well you are doing. Of all the places I want to lose weight, my stomach would be number 1 for sure. I really hope 2010 is my year.

Jillian- hey girl, you must have lost some weight cutting your beautiful locks! I must say though, that you can get away with the short hair look. You always look great!

Alannah- way to go getting a job. I hope it works out great for you.

As for myself, not much is new. Last week I got on the scale and realized how much weight I had put on over the last month so I started eating better and so far I am down 1.5 pounds this week. I need something that is totally going to motivate all the time and I haven't figured out what that is yet. It is time for me to get in shape though.

Well I should run, have a great day everyone!

Joan

Just thought I'd stop in and say "hi". It's been a looong time since I was last here and see a couple of familiar faces. I'm trying to get motivated to get losing weight yet again, and knew this would be the perfect place to find it

hello all! hope everyone is having a good week thus far.

thanks for all the compliments on my new hair (or head..ha!) nope..didn't lose anything, you'd think i would've with all the long thick hair i had. but that wasn't my motivation, so it's cool. the kids are still in awe over it and DS can't stop touching my head since we have matching haircuts now. it's cute!

Kelly, I tend to eat the really crappy cookies in the blood mobile right after I give blood... or the cheezits.. I don't know why donating blood makes it so that I think I deserve some junk food, but that's the way I roll (and probably I am so round that I roll so well). I never noticed any weight loss, but I have noticed that the next day or two a little lack of energy on when working out. It is not so bad if you drink enough water before you donate though.

Welcome Lauren and welcome back Makena
