Meal planning software.. help!

Hi guys!

Ugh, I'm feeling really overwhelmed now that I'm home from college and have a lot of food options. I am trying to do calorie counting and figure I have to eat between 1600 and 1700 per day to lose weight. But coming up with meals and portion sizes that will fulfill this range is boggling me.

I thought of using a meal planning software or website to help me calculate how many calories are going to be in a meal. And this way I can plan out meals in advance. Does anyone have suggestions or know of a website like that? Most I've seen either give YOU the meal or only let you record your food after the fact. :dizzy:

Thanks!

I use dietpowr but it's not fee (one time charge) and also sparkpeople. In both you can type in all the ingredients and then view the totals. In dp, you can put in how many portions you plan, and it will give you a breakdown of nutrients and calories, if you think it's too much or too little, you just change the serving size. I haven't found away of doing that in sp but it may be there.

Try My Daily Plate at www.livestrong.com. It's free and has a huge database of foods to make meal planning easy.
