Cleansing

  • Lately, I've really been feeling like I need to cleanse my system. Anyone have any good suggestions on what's the best idea? Fasting for 24 hours I suppose is a good start, but what after that? Cranberry juice? Eating only fruit for a day or so? Anyone?
  • Your kidney and livers cleanse your system just fine normally. Eating cleaner and unprocessed foods help them work to the fullest of their abilities.

I posted this at the apple cider vinegar thread, but I want to share again because it has helped me so much. The place were I buy prepared healthy meals had some literature for a liver cleanse. I started this about 2 weeks ago, and it has made a world of difference. I have more energy and my skin is clearer. It claims that it is supposed to help with weight loss, but I'm not sure since I incorporate a cleaner diet, cardio, and weight training. I highly recommend it if you feel tend to be lethargic by mid-afternoon. I used to have a dose of caffeine around 3pm because I was crashing around then. Now I don't drink coffee hardly.

Morning: 8oz of warm water & lemon juice

    5 minutes after:
2 cap full of Bagg's Organic, unfiltered, Unpasteurized, ACV
4oz of R.W. Knudsen Just Cranberry Juice (it has no sugar and is really really tart)
    10-12oz of cold filtered water
(it's tart and bitter, but I am used to the taste now)
  • Recommend raw green veggies, lots of water, low to no carbs and citrus based fruits. Lots of lean protein.

The raw veggies as well as water and fruits help to rebalance your system and flush out the sludge from your colon.
