Okay then, I also prefer to stick with my original goal of 222. That's still quite a lot of weight to lose but I've just gotten started and I don't want to lose what I've done so far.
Ok. Here is the thing. I want to do this. But I just keep letting my self down. It is sooo frustrating. I am going to say that I am part of this and my goal for 10% from where I am at right now is 17 lbs which would put me at 153. Which would be awesome! I know I can do this! I just need to buckle down. UGH! Congrats to all of you with such positive attitudes I need them to rub off on me!
10%!! I'm going to do 10% from my New Years weight which was 270, 27 is my favorite number so I'm happy to make that a new goal. I remember feeling really good at 243 so I can't wait to get back to that size. I do have to get to 20 first...but I'm over half way there. I'm excited to reach this milestone, as it's one of the markers on our WW progress charts. It seems like we're all picking different starting points, but I'd like my goal to align with my WW charts.
ok I'm ready to keep moving forward!
I'm going to have to look at a calender to decide on a date to complete the goal by...
Cecil-girl! I wish I was near ya to give you a nice motivational kick. You just gotta stop thinking about it, and just do it. Get a nice routine. Do some mini daily goals. That really helped me to get started and keep it up. I know it's so tough!
Amy thanks for thinking about me I really appreciate you!! I know I can do it. I just need to put my mind to it. The other day I got on the scale and it said 174.2! I couldn't believe it! I mean it is the week of TOM which usually is a few lbs up but never over 170. So I need to step it up. Basically I just typed that to make it real. HA! Thanks for your support everyone. You all mean soo much to me!
Cecil-the first step is changing that ticker and knowing that those 4lbs are going to come off in NO time, especially after TOM. Seeing the scale go down is really motivational and so is changing your ticker (even if it's just changing it back to where it started). Two weeks til Cabo. Perfect time to start setting some goals. Start SUPER small. Get all your veggies in, choose all high fiber starches, walk at lunch, cut your alcohol in half-something to get your mind in it. I know you are more than capbable!
I feel like this week is flying by. I really hope I see a nice 2lb loss on Tues. That would be so nice! I really wanted to lose another 10lbs during February-we're almost halfway through!
Hi Jersey,
Sounds like a great idea. I do not know if all of you ladies are spring chicks, but I am an old hen and I am joining in on this if it is okay with you guys. My start weight was 359 and now I am in my 14 week and am down to 333.4 for a lost of 25. something. I need another 10 pounds to have achieved my first 10% weight lost. Woooha!!! My goal weight is to be 165 and I will get there in little steps. Jersey, you are making this fun to do. Cannot weight until I get my ticker, until then will keep you guys posted. I am accepting all encouragement. LOL LOL
Aggie
Okay I forgot, so I need to be 324 to reach my first 10%. Okay, okay, so I am a little slow, bare with me, I said I was a old hen. (56) to be exact.

Reason: Left out what 10% goal was.
Amylou7777,
I am trying to keep my goals on track with my WW also. Last Thursday night I recieved my 25 pound charm, I was shocked, did not know I got anything for that, but it sure made me smile. Way to go, all you lovely ladies. You all are doing it, and doing it, and doing it well.
Cecil, you can do this. Focus on what you want and then go after it and get it.
OK so if my start weight was 276 on New Years, making my first 10% a loss of 27.6 lbs, and I've already lost about 18, then I need only lose another 9 lbs in the three months-ish between now and Memorial Day. Huh. I don't think that's a good challenge for me. I think I'm going to go with 10% from today instead, which means I need to try to lose 25.8 lbs in the 14 weeks. That sounds tough, but I think I can get pretty close, if not actually make it. I've already done well with my eating today and sworn off alcohol for a couple weeks (maybe longer), so now that I feel all motivated, I'm going to go do some crunches and watch Edward Norton movies.
I'm in! I really like the idea of starting with small goals when you have a lot to lose. Seems easier to reach!!! Started LAWtL "again" in Oct. 2008 and I plan to make it the last time. I just found these message boards and I think its great!!!
i am sooooo close to the first 10%. in fact i met it yesterday, but knew that it was a fluke, so i didn't get too excited. if i could just stop stepping on the scale every morning, i am sure i would be more pleased to see that 10% mark by the weekend.
