I like them a lot, use them more for an afternoon snack now than anything else though. I think I last paid $6.00ish for a box of 5 at Target? As I remember they were cheaper at WalMart.

I think they have a small protein snack bar (maybe that one is described as lite?) and a full size protein bar, I do use the larger one. It is on this website described as a Special K Protein Meal Bar. The snack bars are to the right of the meal bars.

I used them religiously for breakfast when I first started calorie counting. It was something that was easy for me to account for and I enjoyed them. I got the chocolate peanut butter most often because it is my favorite.

If you are replacing the la lites do you use the larger bars? Sure hope so. I tried the chocolate peanut butter today and it was yummy.

To replace the lites you want similar nutritional breakdown with a bit more protien and a bit less sugar (in a perfect world!) So 170-180 calories and at least 8g of protien. Whichever size matches up to that breakdown is the on I would use. I have heard of Luna bars to replace lites. Good Luck and have a safe trip.

I love the 90 calorie Special K bars (vanilla and chocolate drizzle) and count them as a starch. Wal-Mart also carries a 90 calorie blueberry bar that is yummy!

The meal bars work as a replacement for a lite. The info on the bar is similar to the Luna bars. Yes they are very good! I pay about $7.25 for a box of 8 at walmart... not too bad. : )
