It's called that because your main meal is lunch instead of supper (or "dinner" for some). You eliminate refined flours and sugars - skip the bread and potatoes. You can, however, eat all the approved foods until full.
For anyone who might be interested, they do have an "official" website. I don't have 25 posts yet, so I can't post the link, but it is easy to find with a Google search.
I have found it very easy to follow and not expensive to do...and of course, the best part is that I've lost 8.5 pounds!
