Need help with starting a diet plan

  • Ok. My BF and I plan to start a diet on 1 Jan
    We both are the types that ABSOLUTELY need a plan to follow. No good at just choose better options or whatever.
    Now a big issue is that BF will not do anything that has things that are too diety..
    He wants to eat baked meats, and veggies, simple things.
    No Tofu, or anything really fromt he health food store! LOL

    So I need recommendations on a book or online diet plan that is fully laid out with "normal" foods.

  • You could try Richard Simmons and his Foodmover program. I am a big believer in him for beginners.
  • My recommendation is for South Beach. It's all real food. Lots of veggies and lean cuts of meat.
  • Well I'd recommend calorie counting. It's not so much a "plan" per se ... but it will give you guidelines to follow and you can eat real food.

    You just figure out what level of calories each of you needs to be eating, and then choose foods that fit within those levels.
