Canadian with a Question about joining

Good morning everyone.. I am Lori and I am in Brampton, ON.

I am interested in joining but when I call the centres they will not give any info over the phone and I want to be armed with as much info as I can have before going in as I am very easily pursuaded into things.

What should I expect to pay? I am 156 lbs and want to be around 130 so I have 25-30 pounds or so to loose.

I will not be using the lite bars as Soy does BAD things to my tummy.

Has anyone joined recently that they know what I can look at paying?

I am also thinking of waiting until January as there might be bigger deals... thoughts??

I joined in August this year at Calgary location. I don't remember the exact fees. I bought all the supplements for the first month. I did not buy the bars at all and they did not try to talk me into it. I simply told them that I don't like the taste of soy and that was the end of it. I paid about 900 dollars and that inlcuded my supplements. I never bought anything else from them again. I simply went in every week to weigh in. I lost 15 pounds in 3 months and I guess it cost me 300 a month. For me, it was worth it! I found a new way to eat. My centre did not push their product on me at all but I am not easily persuaded. I think I have worked with the Government too long. It's not hard for me to say no anymore!!! haha

I joined in August also. I paid $550 for my program. I wanted to lose 40lbs. I have lost 22 so far. I do buy the bars though, I like them and I have a huge sweet tooth.

I joined in Aug with my Dh for a year, 100 lbs each- it was ~1200
There is always a Pay for what you want to lose- deal in January, so it may be worth it?

Hi I am in PEI,
I joined in September and there was a deal on for 189.00 but I paid 500. so I can do the maintence etc to ensure I keep the weight off.. I don't buy the supplements but do use the lites,. I have lost 20 pounds and have 20 more to go. I am sure there will be deals in January. Right now they have a 6 week trial deal on in my area.

What does the trial deal do do you know?

Thanks everyone for the answers.. :)

I am hearing about centres closing.. is that happening in Canada too? Maybe I should just try to do this on my own... (have the plans)

Lose up to 20 lbs in 6 weeks.
There is no long term commitment with LA Weight Loss...this was on their add.

Hi, I'm in calgary. I have about 50 lbs to lose, and I paid about $950 upfront for that weight loss, and then 6 weeks of maintainance, and then a year of followup.

hope that helps.

Terry

There is no closing of Canadian Centres since we aren't franchised
