Just got back from my WW meeting, I lost 3.6 pounds last week! Some of that is water, for sure (I went for a run this morning), but I hit my 1,000 deficit every single day last week, plus it was my TOM, so I'm totally psyched! I love my armband!!

Hi Wingz! I've been wearing the Gowear Fit every day for the last 3 weeks, and I've lost about 6 pounds in those 3 weeks, using The Daily Plate to track my food and make sure I'm hitting a 1,000 calorie deficit every day. I also go to Weight Watchers meetings to give me a goal to shoot for every week. The last 3 weeks have been a lot easier for me than the 3 weeks before that without the armband, where I was trying to guess how much activity I was getting on The Daily Plate... I feel like a big responsibility has been lifted off my shoulders. I don't worry as much about food or exercise, I just make sure that I'm honest about entering every bite into the Daily Plate, and then make sure I move enough and/or eat the right amount to get a 1,000 calorie deficit every day. I don't sit around beating myself up if I don't make it to the gym, I just have a small enough dinner to make up for it. Likewise if I decide to have a buttered bagel for breakfast, then I make sure I move around at lunch to compensate for it. It's easy when I get instant feedback about it.

I need help again! lol!! So I charged my sensewear for 15 hours last night. Put it on this morning, wore it while i got ready for work and then synched it with my watch to see if it was working. It was. Wore it to work, came home for lunch, couldn't synch it, ended up rebooting it cause I pushed the button in for too long. Now it won't work at all! I have it charging again but no lights are lighting up at all. I went to the help part of the website but got no answers for my problem. Any ideas? Also went to the website and try to upload to see if I lost all of my data from today and it is saying that it can't find my device.
I have already called Matt from myminifly twice so I hate to bug him again. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Mary,
I think I would call Matt and let him know the issues you are having. That way if something is bad wrong you can get it exchanged.
JMHO......

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my bodybugg! I have been using it since Thursday and I have no issues with it at all. It is extremely comfortable to wear (I've got the new version) and I almost don't remember it's on. I'm able to wear it to bed with no difficulty or discomfort. I LOVE the food logging aspect of it, and because I had sort of started to get myself in the habit of weighing or measuring foods, I have no real difficulties in being fairly accurate about my entries. Because, of course, the BB is marketed for use in the US, most of the foods in the BB database are not available in the UK. That's cool though, because of course you can customise your food list - which is a fantastic facility - I find myself saving food packets with the nutrition information on it so that I can accurately enter them into my food log! I also got the display watch, which I LOVE! I tend to only use it when I am physically active ( i.e. when working out at the gym or during fitness camp etc), but not when I am just at work or having a fairly sedentary day. However, like many 3FCers have said, I seem to have in the past overestimated my calorie burn based on my BB's readings - although I think it seems a bit of a lower reading than when I use my heart rate monitor. I might wear both of them during exercise to test the BB's accuracy. That being said, I believe I have read somewhere that overall, the BB's measurement of individual calorie expenditure over the course of 24hrs is more accurate than a HRM. All in all, I truly believe this amazing little device will revolutionise my eating habits and nutrition awareness. I have been managing to achieve my 1000 calorie deficit, with a surplus yesterday of 300+ calories in addition to my 1000 calorie deficit (to be fair, I did have an intense fitness camp session) even though I consumed 2100 calories - some 400 more than recommended by BB for me (1700). I have been blogging about my experiences thus far on the 3FC blog site, and I find that has helped me tremendously. Instead of reaching for the nearest snack after a meal like dinner (because I think I'm still hungry) I find that blogging about my day and experiences helps me realise that I am not as hungry as I really I thought (or not at all) - that's probably just the brain/stomach delay! All in all, it's been an excellent 3 days with my BB, and I very much hope my hard work will be reflected on my scales when I weigh in this Monday (16 Feb). Wish me luck!

Awesome, UK!! Glad to hear you're liking it!! Be sure to keep drinking lots of water to offset water retention from the increased exercise you're doing, and I'm sure you'll see results on the scale in no time!

jaja,
I am just curious: why do you use DP to log your food (instead of the BB site)?
TIA for your reply,
Gretchen

Oh and since I cannot gage how much I have lost with BB alone as I am just giving up my WW online now I can say that BB feels more lifestyle to me than WW cause I don't eat just cause points are going to expire.
And with BB I gage progress by the couple of weeks or month even, not as much focus on weekly (since we have hormonal changes etc).
Hope this helps.
New fear since I got the tiny v3?
Accidentally wearing it into the shower!
(really it is that small/light/unobtrusive compared to the v2).

Thanks, JaJa! Your tip about drinking water is REALLY appreciated - I need that reminder! I actually haven't been drinking anywhere near enough (I guess coz I've been concentrating so much on the other aspects of losing this weight), and I AM prone to fluid retention, so that's a great tip - hope this won't mean I won't see any progress tomorrow morning when I weigh in...
Take care,
UKbcx
