Beware! More LAWL Centers Closing!!!
 

Attention! Attention! Attention!

They are closing more LA Weight Loss Centers which are managed by the LA Weight Loss Franchise Companies Corporate office (Under the Name of LATO- or LA Take Over).

By July 11th, the following centers will be closing in Kentucky:

*Elizabethtown, KY
*Louisville/Hurstbourne, KY
*Springhurst, KY

They are also planning closings in other areas of the country, including:
*Butte, NE
*Lincoln, NE
*Bozeman, MT
*Germantown, TN
*Bartlett, TN

Beware! If products are owed to you, get into the center immediately and request refunds!

For others attending centers not listed, keep a close watch on your centers. If lay-offs or reduced hours start coming, start getting your owed products and brace for closure.

Rita - Where did you hear about the closings ... just wondering. I don't live in those areas, but I was trying to see if there is a pattern to the closings.

This is certainly distressing news...

I can't believe such a good program has been run into the ground by such poor management...

As one who had to suffer through this a long time ago here in New Mexico, my heart goes out to y'all..

The centers in Reno NV are closing too. I was told "on the sly" but I guess they're not saying anything officially until the week before the doors shut.

that worries me, I just started a month ago and am doing really well so far. I am in the Nashville area and some of those are around me.... so hopefully they will weather the storm coming. ( I hope I hope)
Literally today is the last day in my first journal. I haven't been this proud of myself in along time. At least I have this site to motivate me if anything should happen.

I'm in the Nashville area too, although I don't go to a COD anymore (just doing it on my own). You've done a great job so far! Im not an expert, but PM me if there is anything I can do to help you.

Has anyone heard of any closings in Canada...?

Jackson TN closing
 

The center here in Jackson TN will be closed after this coming Wednesday. I was on hold for pregnancy and luckily a friend called and told me. I can't use the bars because of IBS. But no money is being refunded so I got bars that hopefully a friend will be buying off of me. I guess I'll have to put them on ebay if she doesn't. Don't really want to go through the hassle though. Our center would transfer weeks to the Memphis center (which I noticed Germantown and Bartlett are on the list for closing) or give you product for a refund.

Just FYI...I live in Pennsylvania and ALL of our centers (LA Weight Loss and
Pure Weight Loss) closed with little or no notice. I had just prepaid 10 boxes of bars and when I returned, they were closed. Just a note on the door to
go to Jenny Craig. A month or so later, I received a forclosure notice from
LA Weight Loss in the mail.

Just so you all know, if you paid with a credit card, you may have some recourse there. I filed disputes on both my weeks remaining that I had
prepaid (which I'm sure you all did too) and for the 10 boxes of
supplements I had prepaid and never received. It takes a while and
they require documentation, but I won. I will say that I did not
actually have any documentation for the 10 boxes of supplements
I never received (other than the charge on my card) and still,
I won that too. It's definetly worth looking into!

I went to the Jackson office. They figured my time left and gave me lots of bars. I also told them I wanted the maintance information. My daughter is ready for stabilization and maintance. They were closed Sat. Supposed to be open Mon. Tue. and Wed. I would call before I go unless you are in the area. I'm sad because this is one diet that worked for me. But, I'm going to try it by myself and see what happens.

Do you know how many weeks you had left? I got 12 boxes of bars for $200 that was owed me. I had weeks left and also had already paid for stab. and maint. My husband is not happy about it! He was ok paying for weeks if it meant that I would be losing weight and getting healthier. But he doesn't think a box of 7 bars is worth $16. I'm just glad my friend called to let me know what was going on because I was on hold until after the new year for my pregnancy.

Type in "L A Weightloss complaints" into any search engine. Sadly, there are unscrupulous people opening franchises and skipping off with money.

Hey AJ, thanks for the kind words. My center just switched over to corporate so we will see how that goes, but if you are in the nashville area we should def compare notes. i'll pm you once i get the permission to... lol
