Tumaro's Tortilla's
Has anyone tried these? I found the Low-in-Carbs 8" multi grain flavor and they are great!
I do have a question on how to count them though. Here's the dietary information: 100 calories 25 calories from fat Total Fat 2.5g 4% Saturated Fat 0g 0% Trans Fat 0g Cholesterol 0mg 0% Sodium 115mg 5% Total Carbohydrate 13g 4% Dietary Fiber 8g 32% Sugars 1g Protein 7g INGREDIENTS: WATER, OAT FIBER, WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR, SOY BEAN FLOUR, WHEAT GLUTEN, CANOLA OIL, ALUMINUM FREE BAKING POWDER (SODIUM PYROPHOSPHATE, SODIUM BICARBONATE, CORN STARCH, MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE), CALCIUM PROPIONATE *, LECITHIN, MONO-DIGLYCERIDES*, SALT, SESAME SEED FLOUR, ALMOND MEAL, XANTHAN GUM, GUAR GUM, FUMARIC ACID*, POTASSIUM SORBATE*, SODIUM METABISULFITE*. *USED TO MAINTAIN FRESHNESS *ALL MONO - DIGLYCERIDES AND NATURAL FLAVORS ARE DERIVED FROM PLANT SOURCES ALLERGEN INFORMATION: CONTAINS WHEAT, SOY, ALMOND MEAL, & SESAME FLOUR. PROCESSED IN A FACILITY THAT HAS SOY, ALMOND MEAL AND SESAME FLOUR. Would half of a tortilla equal one starch like on the colored plans? (I'm on the "old" Gold plan where half of a six inch tortilla counted as one starch) Or because this is multi grain and the net carbs are 5, would a whole tortilla count as one starch? Thanks for any help! |
Well, generaly speaking a 6 in tortilla is 1 starch, but this is a little bigger than that, it has more fat, but it also has more fiber. You would probably be ok calling is 1 starch

I was told by my COD that one starch serving should be max 110 calories. This fits the bill.
