Hi Heidi-

I have lost weight without the bars in the past, and I have lost with them. I don't know what to advise you, but figured I'd give my two cents.

I use the bars. However, as far as plateaus go. I started exercising and it helped to get me through it. Just becareful that when you start exercising you will hold fluid and see a possible gain in the beginning. Also, don't forget that muscle weighs 3x as much as fat. But you will loose inches even if the scale goes up. I am not sure this is what you were asking but I thought I'd also try to help.

Good luck.

I agree with Dionne. When I first joined LAWL and learned I didn't really have to exercise, I was THRILLED. I lost really quick without it, but then plateaued. I cannot imagine how much I would have lost if I had been exercising all along!

Plus, nothing beats the "high" you get from exercising!

I've never even tasted a bar. I lose 2+ pounds per week when I am following the plan.

I do have to eat a ton of food though to compensate for the bars. That's my biggest challenge......getting all the food in.

when i did LAWL the 1st time i used the bars and when i reached a plateau i started exercising and started losing again. I lost over 40lbs then got pregnant.

Pay close attention to what you are eating, foods affect everyone differently. When i joined i noticed that if i ate peanut butter, bananas & frozen foods i wont lose so i limited those things.

This time around i dont use the bars and i'm averaging 6lbs a month, i'm breastfeeding so its a perfect loss for me and i have peanut butter & bananas all the time now. So follow the plan and just watch what you eat, i realized that even tho its on plan certain things dont work for me.
